Ostensibly fixes bugs so "important" they can't even be bothered to tell you what they are.
It’s sometimes strange to read comments like this in a forum for Apple enthusiasts.
It’s a general behaviour to not list all security changes when they’re not publicly known so for due to security reasons and give users time to update. They will most likely release the changelog for this update in a couple of days.

Mail still isn't working if iCloud private-relay is network blocked, even when disabled on the phone (in the iCloud settings, and in the mail app settings), because it still connects to mask.icloud.com and mask-h2.icloud.com, leading imap mail to time out.

Started with 18.2.

I hope it fixes the flickering/shooting rainbow shooting lines! Been to the Apple Store twice with no fix. Did a restore as well. It's definitely software based and I've been waiting since September when I receive the phone. I just want a fix for it so badly. Been such a horrible experience so far with my 16 Pro Max. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I have the same iPhone 16 Pro Max, and luckily, I haven’t experienced that issue. It definitely sounds frustrating, though. Hopefully, Apple releases a fix for it soon!

iOS 18.2 removed RCS support on my iPhone 14 Pro Max running on T-Mobile. iOS 18.2.1 didn’t fix it so far. Anyone having the same issue? Any fixes? Thanks.

Not this particular one but don’t even get me started on RCS on the iPhone. Clearly not a priority for them.

Didn’t fix my email issue. Basically, when you tap on an email notification, it’s supposed to open to that email directly. Instead, it goes to my inbox and locks up for about 10 seconds 9/10 times.
I have the 'lock up' issue in multiple apps honestly. It does not appear to be isolated to mail for me.

Have had this same issue and keep hoping for a fix with each additional software update. So annoying! Heard it’s a very widespread issue, yet Apple doesn’t address it publicly. So frustrating.

the bug when you screenshot a photo in the photos app the screenshot gets more saturated colors still persists. iOS 18 has been a mess.

I am really sick of companies not providing actual detailed update change logs, whether it be a simple app or an entire OS. It is completely disrespectful to the user base. I don't know when this practice started (it certainly wasn't always this way), but it needs to STOP. Instead people are hoping for magical fixes that may or may not come or end up breaking things if the update doesn't fix their specific problem but creates a bug elsewhere.

I hope they fix the terrible autocorrect in my mother tongue. Using iPhone and autocorrect since iPhone 3G and first time I consider disabling it.

i put message on 9to5mac correcting the issue

they have made mistakes before and when i corrected them they either ignored me, just deleting message - or correcting it without acknowledgement - and still deleting message!

so this time i have screenshots

if they delete this time i will repost on 50 websites

They have a terrible commenting system anyway.

Apple today released iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1, minor updates to the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 operating systems. iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 come almost a month after Apple released iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2.

The new software can be downloaded on eligible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 18.2.1 addresses important bugs, and it is recommended for all users.

Apple is also testing iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3, updates that we expect to see launch sometime in late January.

Still doesn’t fix the missing Apple Intelligence Mail features lacking on the iPad but present on the iPhone!
