Has anyone noticed the bug where you put an app in a folder and the app icon vanishes, but then when you exit wiggle mode the app icon is visible and functional exactly where you left it?
Yes, ever since 18.0.

It might actually be fixed in 18.2.1; I'll have to wait a full day for night/day cycles to go by, but the odd flash as the folder shrinks seems to be gone, and an icon that's been bothering me is correct again.

EDIT: 18.2.1 appears to be rebuilding the icon image cache as the icons are shown. If I open a multi-screen folder, then close it, I see a flash of all-white icons as it minimizes, but only for the first time. Subsequent open-close cycles do not flash white. But moving to a different screen of the multi-screen folder before minimizing does the same thing: white the first time, OK subsequent times.

EDIT 2: I did a flip between Large and Small icons in Customize, and some of my white icons have returned. Ugh.

iOS 18.2 removed RCS support on my iPhone 14 Pro Max running on T-Mobile. iOS 18.2.1 didn’t fix it so far. Anyone having the same issue? Any fixes? Thanks.
Do you still have RCS as an option under messages app? If so, try turning it off and on a bunch

i put message on 9to5mac correcting the issue

they have made mistakes before and when i corrected them they either ignored me, just deleting message - or correcting it without acknowledgement - and still deleting message!

so this time i have screenshots

if they delete this time i will repost on 50 websites
Petty much...

Still doesn’t fix the missing Apple Intelligence Mail features lacking on the iPad but present on the iPhone!
Which iPad do you have ? It is not in every model.

Hopefully, this means my iPhone 15 Pro’s battery won’t die as quickly!
🤞🏽
Your iPhone battery isn’t becoming any better with time.

I'm still on 18.1.1 because my Mac has been indexing my Photos Library for like... a month (and it's not even stuck). But at this point, I might as well just update. Hopefully it fixes the networking issues I've been experiencing, oversaturated screenshots on iPhone, and seemingly unusually low battery life on my Apple Watch Ultra.

Will update my iPhone soon. Hopefully it fixes the bug where screenshots taken on Apple Watch are not syncing properly to the Photos app on the iPhone.
The fault lies with the WatchOS v.11.2 in my case. Even after updating iPhone 15 Pro Max to iOS 18.2, AW9 was sending screenshots to phone. My mistake was updating the Watch. Did you update yours to WatchOS 11 from 10.6 (the version that was working just fine for me)?

There's a thread in Apple Watch forum about the problem here.

Didn’t fix my email issue. Basically, when you tap on an email notification, it’s supposed to open to that email directly. Instead, it goes to my inbox and locks up for about 10 seconds 9/10 times.
I have had this since 18.2 and it is driving me crazy. I can’t believe more people are not complaining about it. Either it only happens in specific configurations or people don’t try to open emails via notifications.

For what it is worth, it is happening to me on an iPhone 13 mini. I have an exchange work account and Gmail account that I use mail for. Issue happens with both inboxes. I have an Apple Watch 10 connected to the phone although I can’t imagine that’s causing the issue.

One weird thing is that it generally only does the freezing at the inbox for the first email notification when there are multiple notifications stacked up.

Could this have been triggered by the iOS 18.2.1 update?

So since when apple stop telling what bugs their fixing in software release

There is no bugs anymore. Everything is a security update on these minor releases moving forward. That way you can never question the meaningless updates.

Fixed bugs apparently include turning off Apple Intelligence and turning on Artificial Idiocy. My devices are getting dumber with each update.

Looks like Universal Clipboard got broken. I can no longer copy text on my iphone and have it paste on my macbook

Still no release notes, but continues to bug me 2 days in a row to download and install.
Time to block it again if this shows up the 3rd day in a row.

Glad to see I’m also not the only one with this annoying issue.

I am really sick of companies not providing actual detailed update change logs, whether it be a simple app or an entire OS. It is completely disrespectful to the user base. I don't know when this practice started (it certainly wasn't always this way), but it needs to STOP. Instead people are hoping for magical fixes that may or may not come or end up breaking things if the update doesn't fix their specific problem but creates a bug elsewhere.
On iOS, I think it started with Instagram or Twitter. I wondered why Apple would accept "updates" or "bug fixes" as a description. Suddenly we didn't know whether we should allow the update, because if our favourite feature disappeared we couldn't put the old version of the app back without iTunes.

You actually have a good point, but there are two sides to this:
1. You can’t really roll back an app on iOS easily, like you can on windows.
2. You might want to roll back an app to a version that has a feature deprecated and the user experience wouldn’t be that great. That may be what apple is trying to avoid with the way they manage iOS apps.

Hope this fixes the weird dimming videos issue I’ve been having since 18.1 on my 14. For some reason the video either goes black or fades to grey after bright images like a space battle scene. It’s annoying AF.
Settings > Accessibility. Now, here's the trick: go to the Motion tab (option). Your setting "Dim Flashing Lights" will be ON: if so, turn it off

After updating to iOS 18.2.1, does anyone else have an issue on your iPhone where Wifi connection drops when the phone is in standby mode?

Mine shows 5G in the status bar until 2-3 seconds later when it reconnects to Wifi. Quite annoying. Wasn't an issue on iOS 18.2 with my 13 Pro Max
