22D63whats the build number?
Apple says so.So it wouldn't work with, say, a software button in iPhone 15 Pro camera app? It needs a physical button?
The way it was intended was with Camera Control. I am not aware of any other way.So it wouldn't work with, say, a software button in iPhone 15 Pro camera app? It needs a physical button?
Physical button onlySo it wouldn't work with, say, a software button in iPhone 15 Pro camera app? It needs a physical button?
Visual intelligence with Camera Control (All iPhone 16 models)
- Add an event to Calendar from a poster or flyer
- Easily identify plants and animals
How did we ever live without this? Seriously, VI has huge theoretical potential, but if these are the leading examples they can think of to sell it, it clearly isn't ready for anything other than tech demo.
Physical button only
Exactly.Well I for one am interested to learn if my four-legged pet is a cat or a dog, or could it be a meerkat.
It’s both.Is it just iOS 18.3 or is there an ipadOS 18.3 update as well?

I agree with you, it is terrible that visual intelligence is not available for 15 Pro/MaxWhy is visual intelligence iPhone 16 series only? Is the camera on iPhone 15 Pro / Max too inferior?
How about if a plant is poison ivy or not?Well I for one am interested to learn if my four-legged pet is a cat or a dog, or could it be a meerkat.
Apple says so.
One of those baffling things…
Although given that it just uses Google and GPT as its sources you really aren’t missing out on any functionality…
18.2 lasted 47 days. 18.3 should last a bit longer. How stable is this compared to 18.2?
Interestingly as I was typing that, 9to5Mac reported that “ visual intelligence” might become a control center option in a future update, meaning it could come to older phones. That's one intelligent physical button then! How did they squeeze visual intelligence into it? It must be one of those things only Apple can do.
It breaks the record for the largest released iOS version number. So what does it break?
That is correct. So it wouldn't work with, say, a software button in iPhone 15 Pro camera app? It needs a physical button?
Yes. Read up on “embodied intelligence”.So it wouldn't work with, say, a software button in iPhone 15 Pro camera app? It needs a physical button?
Exactly.
What’s the target public for this?
I’m baffled.
