Same. Pretty warm on install and a few mins afterward. Must be re-indexingSomething to note - both my Air and 17 Pro are scorching hot after this update. Waiting for them to cool down, had to put them on top of the air purifier vent so that wind can cool them off, never had a phone get this hot before.
Also, none of the visual bugs since beta 7 were fixed.
Now to see if the “re-indexing” keeps heating up my 14 pro randomly doing nothing like it has been since my initial install of iOS 26 and my restored backup. Still waiting for my photos section to show up in message threads.Same. Pretty warm on install and a few mins afterward. Must be re-indexing
Sounds legit. Good plan.I myself am updating to iOS 18.7.1 and iPadOS 18.7.1 (for now). I may just end up waiting for iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1 coming in circa middle October 2025 before updating my iPhone 16 Plus and iPad Air M3 13" to iOS 26 versions.
Here again. YouTube and the Sky again aren’t updated by the devs itself. They having the standard iOS system overhaul for Liquid Glass. The companies need to update their icons accordingly.
Also, in most countries Sunday would be last week.…today is Monday, at least in the US. Apple doesn’t release updates on Sundays. So no, it didn’t come out earlier this week.
But is your ass less liquid? Thanks Tim, my liquid is less ass now.
They need to get their fingers oot! 🤪Here again. YouTube and the Sky again aren’t updated by the devs itself. They having the standard iOS system overhaul for Liquid Glass. The companies need to update their icons accordingly.

How can you proclaim how "bad and perplexing" something is when you haven't used it? iOS 26 is good, especially now that 26.0.1 was just released. I have no idea how proclaiming something without any evidence to support it improves anyone's life.<<For those who are unable to update to iOS 26.0.1, Apple has released a iOS 18.7.1 update.>>
You mean for those who want no part of iOS 26. I bought my first Apple product in 1995, a Power Macintosh 8500. This is the first time in 30 years Apple has released something so bad and perplexing that I will walk away rather than accept it and pretend to like it.
I wonder does that also include iOS/iPadOS 18.7.1?There is a security fix included in the update as well. From Apple:

At least the WiFi issue appears to be solved on my 17PM, CarPlay for me was WiFi related but I will find out for sure this afternoon as I'll be on a trip for like 5 hrsI've been having the WiFi issue and the CarPlay issue on my devices. Hopefully this will solve them for me.
It should. YesI wonder does that also include iOS/iPadOS 18.7.1?

Honestly, I'd bet money that a lot of the rabble about how "bad" iOS 26 is is being posted by AIs and paid-rabble by companies like Samsung and others. Are there bugs? Of course. Is it show-stoppingly bad? Nope. But, would samsung try really, really, really hard to make it seem like the phones will self-destruct in your hands like the Note 7? Of course!
