Updated my iPhone 14 Max, and after restart, the screen was locked and would not respond to any touches of the screen. Tried to reboot, but since the screen would not repond when I wanted to put in the passcode, I was stuck. I had to plug in my phone to my Mac, and then push the voluem "up" and then the volume "down" button, folliwng with the power button (long hold until the phone restarted). Once rebotted, all is normal. This was not a good experience if you were traveling and you installed the update and you are now locked out of your phone and don't have access to a computer.
You don’t need to plug it in to your Mac to do that. Am I missing something ?

Still having AirPlay issues on iPhone 17 Pro as well as when watching Apple TV 4K and streaming to 2 HomePod minis. Complete disconnections still happen although very rarely. What is now happening a lot is one HomePod stops and then catches up after 10-15 seconds. 😡
All airplay issues should be solved with one demand:

Bring back Forstall.

It was him that guaranteed airplay would work. Since he left, AirPlay has been garbage upon garbage. Even the “fixes” have resulted in more garbage.

Now that Ive and Mansfield are gone, Forstall should return and resume his rightful ownership of iOS and Siri. They were always his. He will lay waste to the programmers he deems weak and useless, and bring back focused discipline to the remainder. Is this friendly? Nope, but he’s your boss. Not your friend. Get on board or get out. Code has to be fixed or removed.

Bring back Forstall. Now.

Still having WiFi issues specifically around roaming from one access point to another.

As a test today, I held my 17 Pro and 15 Pro Max next to each other and walked around the house. The 15 Pro Max roamed to the closest WiFi access point like clockwork (just as it always has), while the 17 Pro stuck to the first access point it was connected to until the signal wasn't strong enough and it disconnected.

Specifics:

Both iPhones are on iOS 26.0.1.
Both were on the same SSID.
Access points are UniFi U6-LR and 2x U6-Lite's. All AP's are using 80mhz channel width, and not using DFS.

Seriously considering taking the 17 Pro back for a refund and putting a new battery in my 15 Pro Max.
I’m seeing the exact same problem on my side. My setup is also UniFi, but with U6 Pro access points. On my iPhone 17 Pro running iOS 26.0.1, the device tends to cling to the first AP it connects to and won’t roam until the signal is basically unusable. In contrast, my older iPhone (15 series) roams between APs smoothly as expected. Definitely feels like something specific to the 17 Pro and the way it handles Wi-Fi roaming.
