That’s not a bug, it’s a feature! Apple forgot to mention that the 17s have a built-in hand warmer😅Something to note - both my Air and 17 Pro are scorching hot after this update. Waiting for them to cool down, had to put them on top of the air purifier vent so that wind can cool them off, never had a phone get this hot before.
Also, none of the visual bugs since beta 7 were fixed.
Na, those issues are symptomatic of backpocketitus and caseless owner syndrome. To my knowledge they seem to more acutely afflict spendthrifts and narcissists, respectively. Interestingly, everyday Joe’s who take care of their gear are reporting very few problems with their tech purchases 🤣When BendGate and ScratchGate fixes?
Like iOS 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, … all until their last last point release, and even then they were dicey. I’m still avoiding the last 18.x. I can’t trust any of them anymore. Software everywhere is awful these days. Not enough excuses to go around.<<For those who are unable to update to iOS 26.0.1, Apple has released a iOS 18.7.1 update.>>
You mean for those who want no part of iOS 26. I bought my first Apple product in 1995, a Power Macintosh 8500. This is the first time in 30 years Apple has released something so bad and perplexing that I will walk away rather than accept it and pretend to like it.
Suckers. Happy as a sandboy with 18.7.1 running silky smooth on my 14PM.
It will be good for the winter! That’s not a bug, it’s a feature! Apple forgot to mention that the 17s have a built-in hand warmer😅
..on my 15 pro has been quite similar, but after 25 minutes goes on and restart upgrading systemAnyone else get stuck at this point for at least 45 minutes?
( iPhone 17 Pro Max )
Empty lives. Indeed.Honestly, some of y'all are so damn dramatic.
Careful! The fanbois that can’t admit iOS 26 is a disaster so far are going to downvote you into oblivion with a comment like that. 18.7.1 here working properly as it should 👏
I would say not bad but controversial more like. It’s bad in the sense that it is still very buggy. But the problem is deeper. Apple decided to use transparency which may be attractive (a lot of people here like it, at list for now) but it’s just objectively very distracting. I know that some people just accept it (mostly younger whose brains still manage distractors without problems). For me personally it’s just unacceptable because 1/ not being young anymore and am easily distracted by LG, 2/ I think (subjectively, I know) that LG is just ugly and will fall out of fashion relatively qyickly. We’ll see in (a) few years.<<For those who are unable to update to iOS 26.0.1, Apple has released a iOS 18.7.1 update.>>

I have the same issues as before the update, woke up to no WiFi connection as usual, have to toggle on and off to get it back, and my battery drops just as fast as before, thinking of returning my phone for something else, I need my phone to be useable, the other thing it keeps doing is having the WiFi symbol but nothing works, I still have to toggle on and off to get it back working, very infuriating at this pointOK, I updated a little earlier and am trying to update my Watch too. But it seems I now have a Wifi bug on my 17 that I didn't have before: it was downloading the update to the watch, the display turned off, and when I unlocked a little later the Wifi connection was off (and it can't complete the Watch update). Same thing happened again a few minutes after I resumed the Watch update. Be careful out there.
Still having WiFi issues specifically around roaming from one access point to another.
As a test today, I held my 17 Pro and 15 Pro Max next to each other and walked around the house. The 15 Pro Max roamed to the closest WiFi access point like clockwork (just as it always has), while the 17 Pro stuck to the first access point it was connected to until the signal wasn't strong enough and it disconnected.
Specifics:
Both iPhones are on iOS 26.0.1.
Both were on the same SSID.
Access points are UniFi U6-LR and 2x U6-Lite's. All AP's are using 80mhz channel width, and not using DFS.
Seriously considering taking the 17 Pro back for a refund and putting a new battery in my 15 Pro Max.
