I'm afraid I have to disagree with you. Humans are social creatures, we evolved being social to help us survive against great odds.

...

I'll see if I can find it, but I wouldn't boast about having Asperger's, it's better to boast about being an NT (Myers-Briggs personality type)

I was joking. I don't think we need a society of of Dr. House walking around.

Me = INTJ, if you were curious. :p

Ah, that explains why I didn't get your joke (the J somewhat limits spontaneity) :p

I'm an INTP and most of my friends are NTs.

I agree with you completely, I couldn't imagine anything worse. Interestingly, a lot of people on the AS get IxTx on the myers-briggs, usually INTx

Here's the article in any case, if you ever need to defend yourself against a rabid asspie lol

Now I'm two updates behind on my iPhone, because I'm still waiting for the 4.3 Jailbreak. Oh well. Nothing too important in this update. I also won't be updating my iPad, because the jailbreak for 4.3 hasn't been released yet either.

Jailbreaking sounds awesome.

Is anyone having trouble like randomly opening apps? When I'm writing in Twitter App, it's switched to Notes. I back to Twitter and then it's switched and played music. I have iPod Touch 3rd.

PS: Sorry for bad English.

Uh oh, now you're going to unleash the fury of the autism brigade. Asperger's isn't a personality disorder!

You are correct, sir. The autistic spectrum is not a personality disorder. Uniformed people on here are not understanding the diagnostic term "personality disorder", which are a handful of particular disorders carefully defined by the DSM-IV. The term "personality" is the key word here and it carries with it a specific meaning. And, as someone else has pointed out, in contrast to a PD, autism is a "pervasive developmental disorder".

A study was done which showed that since the advent of online dating reported cases of people on the autistic spectrum increased; it's thought that the people who spent most of their time online were able to find partners and procreate, without having to do the whole rigmarole of courting, flirting, etc.

A little off topic, but that study sounds so horribly biased and based on such seriously flawed logic on so many levels, that I fine myself baffled that someone could even come up with such a conclusion. I'm sure they ignored the age of people dating online, if they were still even able to procreate (since online daters are usually older), potential problems with having children at an older age (such as genetic mutations, premature labor), other reasons for the increase in autism (such as increased awareness or more refined diagnostic testing), environmental factors, geez the list of confounders is endless.

YouTube

The YouTube app is not letting me play a lot of content "the owner of this video does not allow playback on the iPad."

Lady GaGa's Born This Way (Country Road Version) played before I updated and now won't play in the app - it will play in Safari on YouTubes website...

I too noticed a shorter battery life with 4.3, so hopefully this fixes things.

It's one of my biggest pet peeves, and yes I do get mad at friends for saying "that's so gay" and guess what...none of them say it anymore.

you're that annoying friend that shows up at a party and everyone has to be nice to him, and then as soon as you leave everyone talks about how abrasive you are.

that is the worst kind of friend.

Actually, the people I hang out with have some degree of character and intelligence.

ETA: And also, most of them are gay. The straight people I hang out with probably wouldn't say "that's so gay". For those who did, I would just explain why it bothers me; they would just think about it for a second and realize what they were doing. It's really pretty straightforward.

to answer my own question in my initial tests it seems the sticky/stuck slide to unlock button issue that I and a few other people on the apple forums were experiencing has been addressed.

another question however, in iTunes my HD availability on my iPhone 4 shows 5.9GB, however on the phone it shows 6.8.

anybody know why the discrepancy?

Updates

I am so glad Mac Rumors post these updates. Its like my own personal notification when new updates come out!

Thats no true.

Apple just a few days ago released Mac OS X 10.6.7 and was only 475MB, and the Combo update was only 1.12GB. Mac OS X 10.6.6 brought the Mac App Store and was only 143MB.

I don't know why your updates are 4GB.

He is talking about xcode 4.. the app is 4GBs.. and an update was just released for it. And you have to download the app ALL over again. 4GBs!!!

Not a cowinkidink

I hate how you have to download the entire OS every time there's a small update like this. 666MB for a few bug fixes... Also, what's up with the 666MB? Maybe we should stay away from this update guys lol.

Could be not a coincidence. The first apple computer did sell for $666.66.....

FINALLY, my iP4 is seriously spotty with it data:mad:. hopefully this will fix that.

650 MB download to update my 4G iPod touch.

607 MB download to update my iPad 2.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, in my humble opinion.

Why can't Apple design their updates so you no longer need to essentially download the whole iOS code? Even Microsoft in their Service Packs for Windows XP/Vista/7 "polls" the system to determine the actual Service Pack download size, so in many cases the download is actually quite small. Of course, I'd like to see Apple allow for incremental updates like how Google does it with the Chrome web browser--done in the background and unobtrusively.
