Hmmm lose 49 additional features for 2 "Features" I couldn't care less about considering I'm not located in Japan and I don't have a passcode on my devices?

Pass :p

The evad3rs should hold off on burning another exploit before iOS 7 too in my opinion, even if you missed the window of opportunity I guarantee jailbreakable replacement Bar devices will be around and sitting in the drawers for a while, even if they aren't on 6.1.2 it'll be some version of iOS that's jailbreakable more than likely..

They should instead figure out a re-restore method and bring out the big show when more devices and a more substantial OS version is released.

4.3.4 and 4.3.5 weren't relevant after 4.3.3 jailbreakme and especially with limera1n re-restore ability.

And iOS 5 was good to go since 5.1.1 was never trumped with another iOS 5 incremental updated and rocky racoon exploit never patched until iOS 6.

Clearly, they do care about jailbreak a bit more this go round even though it's helped their "surprising sales spike" in February.

I just want my @$!# bluetooth to work in my car again!

Oh, and I'd love for Location Services to not ALWAYS be activated when I wake my phone up. There's no reason for it to be on all the time, particularly when I don't have anything running in the background.

Strange that no one wrote that it got better battery life ;)

[EDIT]Omg someone did it...[/EDIT]

6.1.3

Installing now and battery life already seems better. Its actually going up!Hmm maybe because its plugged in while updating? Or perhaps some behind the scenes solar battery charging code built in now.

You people are funny. THe bug is announced, you cry for blood. They release a fix, you say "thank you, but no thank you"...

For crying out loud...

I'm sure this was not directed at just me. However, since it is next to my post I feel a need to respond to explain my decision.

First, I do not live in or travel to Japan so the maps update is not helpful. Second, my iPhone rarely leaves my side so I am not worried about someone trying to circumvent the passcode. I do not have much in the way of personal information stored here and I would gladly wipe my iPhone should I lose it.

Even if you don't care about JB but you're an upgrader or a reseller, being on a patched version of iOS will definitely impact value and at the very least, desirability.

Something else to consider for stock advocates ;)

It's dissapointing that JB encourages hardware sales, but once Apple has made the numbers, they don't mind reversing the original reason you bought the devices to begin with, even though it "voids the warranty" and isn't supported by them. This has how it's always been, but if I was Mr. Cook, and knew people were gonna jailbreak regardless of how much the company discourages it (with a snooty KB article and Genius Bar unlock placards back in the day), I'd offer a dev friendly IPSW where you have root access cooked in. With a dev account, you have more flexibility anyways. Might as well go the full mile. It only encourages innovation since they "borrow" from JB devs with every iOS iteration.

Too bad I can't and I won't update! :D

my prediction....

Nothing new.

Please spare us all and go get an android phone so we don't have to read negative stuff all the time.

The worst part? They are doing it alphabetically! They won't get to the U.S. for a long, long time!!!

If you think the US is bad then you haven't been anywhere else. It would be an understatement to say Apple Maps is completely useless in Thailand. Just as an example.
