Where can you see the end date for a beta, eg beta1?
Or in other words, if you're on beta1, when is the last date before you need to update?

Yeah, it's the weirdest thing. On my iPad, Google remained the default, while on my 2 test iPhones, the default was switched to Yahoo.

You can choose your default search engine. To change your search engine to to Safari settings and change the search engine to the one you want to use.

FYI, same in iOS 5.

Yeah its been a serious pain. Doesn't work until I restart the phone, then after a few hours, most music will not play...

Seems to be working REALLY well for me right now! The Download ALL iCon is different and actually appears to work at this time.

It appears to be working for me now too. Before I couldn't even turn on iTunes match, so yours worked better than mine did!

Two questions regarding Facebook contacts.

1. I get at lot of pixelated images for the iCloud-version of my contact from fb but then the same image but proper for the Facebook-version. It this just me? Looks ugly when it picks the bad one as default.

2. Is there a way to merge Facebook contacts with iCloud contacts? Some of them have slightly different names and shows up as two entries (even after changing the names).


BTW, no birthday dupes anymore in calendar! Yay
Edit: And the UI is A LOT smoother overall on my 4! The first beta was nearly unusable...

That has been quite honestly the most irritating bug I've death with for a while in an iOS beta..so far so good though!

Initial impressions seem to show it's too dim now . I've just used the screen for 5 or so minutes but it's quite dim, it's dim in the room too but whatever.

Mine does... Was separate photo albums for camera roll and synced photos present in beta 1? I didn't use my iPhone that much, I hope iPad is separate now too.

Ok, perhaps I should clarify. I don't think that option is available on AT&T iphones since AT&T is repurposing EDGE spectrum and trying to get people off of EDGE.

I had exactly the same problem with beta 1 - this has thankfully now been fixed in beta 2

Go in Passbook and there is new wording. Also, Passbook is now in iCloud.

thats because Apple removed the bug that meant you could open a 2X iPhone stocks app on the iPad, which was present in beta 1 but is no longer present in beta 2.

No, once initiated then there is no stop command, apparently it knows what the end result is.

i can't figure it out. is it a bug? developers have been reporting it as a bug yet other say its a welcome feature. i think im in the bug camp.
my phone still has the brightness indicator move on its own in bright light etc

It does not work here on my ipod still. Tried restoring it as new after OTA and still no go. It works on iOS 5.1.1 and will change once I am unlocked in different light but I did notice that since beta 1 it will be brighter if you unlock it in a bright room but won't dynamically change when you are using it. At least for me

turn off auto-brightness?

that stops the bug yes but i like auto brightness the way it used to be. its a handy feature.
