This worked for me...turn off WIFI and check while on 3g. It then shows...switch back wifi and download. Taking a while but the clogs are going!

Rob

This didn't work for me. I just kept trying every few minutes and it showed up.

A few things about that screenshot looks wrong. First, why does it say "operating system 6.0" without any capital letters? Second, "AppleInternal"? :\

Ya, I know people do really strange things on the intarwebs, but what would the OP gain from "faking" this? and then faking the video too? and then faking the download screen that everyone else *might* see -- oh, wait, maybe it's NOT fake (or maybe it is, it IS NDA'd, right? god forbid anyone discuss apple's precious little secrets).

Im hoping they'll clear up the inconsistency of colors in the operating system, also hoping they will allow adjustments on the split keyboard on the ipad, its just too darned small.

That crash was caused by Facebook contacts.app integration. Disable the contacts switch in Facebook's system settings, and the search comes back. Don't need to disable any other Facebook integration.

Yeah, I had Facebook deleted completely. No account linked. After I did that, it got even worse: before it'd crash if I started typing, after it crashed just by tapping in the searh field.

Oh well, we'll see if Beta 2 fixes it!

ah no it wont downgrade you it will just lock your device... you wont be able to do it.. but if you dont upgrade to beta 2 device will lock anyway when beta 1 expires...

If not a member of developer program and dont have UID registered should have never installed in first place... It actually shouldnt have let you install it......
i believe you mean UDID?

i knew this was going to happen. don't lecture me about it, i knew what i was getting myself into when i put a BETA!!! on my phone.

i don't need tons of people telling me i shouldn't be doing this, because its my device and i can put whatever software i would like on it.

hopefully we see some better functionality

Who cares? Everyone wants to know who has downloaded it, what percent complete and who hasn't been able to yet. Oh, and most importantly, if the geatprs turn.

But you are almost stealing the beta if you aren't a paid developer. So I think what everyone is getting at is that no one cares what you do and what happens to your phone, but if it does get bricked, you deserve that.

Well, it is piracy...

FIXED: Users may notice that the key clicking sounds are skipped during fast typing.
FIXED: Displaying a keyboard in a landscape orientation, then rotating the device to a portrait orientation results in a badly positioned keyboard. Dismissing the keyboard and redisplaying it in portrait mode should resolve the issue. The problem affects only iOS 6 beta 1 and will be fixed in subsequent release

YES!

I am glad these are fixed! my main problems.
I have tested the keyboard with clicks. Works smoothly!

Also screw the Safari joke... iMessages is a lot snappier!

Apple Store App still broken.

If rotating gears in an icon are all it takes to please some of us, then well, Apple really doesn't need to provide any further updates at all. iOS 6 is ready to ship!!! :apple::rolleyes:

Don't be like that.
The attention to micromanagement and details is what sets Apple apart and what makes iOS looks so extremely polished.

Be a little more grateful, I agree it's something that doesn't need a headline, but that didn't happen, you see, it's about beta 2, so far barely anyone has it installed or was able to notice new things, so whilst we're at writing an article and waiting for the update to finish, why not include this little gimmick?

Jesus :p

OMG, people have been saying 'Safari feels snappier!' after every single new release of the OS.

Eventually, it will be so snappy that just hovering your finger over the icon will open the last webpage you were on.

Eventually it will be,
Me: 'SIRI... can you load up web pa....'
Siri: 'Here is MacRumors, Rock God.'

This joke got old a couple years ago.

It's not as bad as the old "debug code" joke from the early days of OS X. People actually took that one seriously.

(When the 10.0 GM was seeded in 2001, some insisted there would be another, "real" GM with the "debug code" removed because it was so slow. Thus with every update you'd get "Did they remove the debug code?" comments.)

I agree, do what you like.

But don't whine about responses you receive that are anything other than positive.
