Apple Releases iOS 6 Beta 2 to Developers

Guys, check out the App Store in Beta 2. It's back to how it was before, except with a black theme. Weird! I guess the Beta 1 version was just for fun?

You might want to double check that.

Anyone else having problems with the weather widget? Seems to be giving weather data for the local area that is totally wrong. Also says "Update Failed" for the location service weather in the actual app. Stored locations present weather data normally.

It happened to me too a while ago. It just worked fine after that, just wait some time I guess.

I know, and then i would have to install iOS 5 on it. can you confirm that it will brick it? I'm fine with the current beta as a day to day phone so if thats the case i will probably just wait a few days until someone figures a way around it.

The phone will not brick. It will tell you that it cannot be activated. I had this happen when I installed iOS6 and my UDID did not register in Apple's system yet from the dev portal. You can downgrade back to iOS5 by going into recovery mode. You do this by turning the phone off and then holding the home button while you connect it to your computer. Keep holding home until iTunes sees the iPhone in recovery and then downgrade.

I have an AT&T 4S and don't see that option.

ATT 4s will say 4G in some areas with HSPA+ speed. So apple forgot to put Disable 4G on ATT models.

My iPhone is finally past "preparing update" and went to the regular black screen with the white apple. The loading bar is stick at ALMOST done. We'll see how this goes.

Edit: It just restarted.

Edit 2: Went to another (empty) loading bar

Edit 3: Loading bar is making progress and iTunes just recognized it as plugged in.

Edit 4: Finally installed. First notable bug fix is I can hang up with my headphones with remote and mic again!

...and it seems I also lost my camera roll

Finally got access to the UK App Store - in Beta 1, it would always connect me to the US Store, even though I live in the UK

where you could ask siri to launch stocks and the iphone app would launch has now been removed. instead i get the actual stocks for the company Launch

Works fine.

I say, "launch stocks", it opens stocks.

I rebooted my device.

Mine does... Was separate photo albums for camera roll and synced photos present in beta 1? I didn't use my iPhone that much, I hope iPad is separate now too.
