Apple Releases iOS 6 Golden Master to Developers

GM fixes a lot of minor bugs especially with newstand magazines on the new iPad now all these are fixed. Battery seems to be improve also, so ATM seems to be a better and stable release than iOS 5 GM

I had a similar problem with a 3GS and a 4S. The update method failed and returned an error and put the phone into a DFU mode loop. (Connect to iTunes and just a blank screen). The only solution was restoring from iTunes. Unfortunately the 4S was not backed up beforehand and now we are using data recovery software to retrieve photos.

This isn't true. Tap to get the copy/paste menu. Hit the arrow. Choose "Insert Photo or Video".

 
Is there anyway to take all the cards on my keychain and enter them into Passbook? For instance, my gym card and rewards cards that ll have barcodes i use on a daily basis.

Wrong, if ios 6 you can attach a photo from the body of an email (tap to cut/paste/ select, hit right arrow on popup, tap 'attach photo'

I logged into icloud on my computer, and both addresses are showing under my webmail settings. I could probably just change the from address on my phone and it would use the icloud.com address that way.

Yeah I was corrected earlier. I wonder if that arrow system is really intuitive. I honestly missed that feature.
 
Public Transit

To the person asking about Public Transit using the new Maps:

At least where I live (Hampton Roads Transit - Norfolk, Virginia, USA), the Apps entry comes up blank on my 4S.

As a work around, I saved a Web Clip of Google Maps to my home screen and launch that when I need to go somewhere by bus.

Come on Apple, just use the GTFS feeds that most providers (at least here in the States) use. Pretty please?

Same here. I liked it better when I could delete an album/song at a whim. Oh well, it's certainly not killing my usage of iTunes Match. It still works better than Google Music.
 
If I upgrade to the GM version, will it be a hassle to install future OTA updates? Will I have to uninstall GM and then install the final release?
 
GM is the final release. But considering the release will probably happen in less than 24 hours, at this point might as well just wait for public release.
