Very annoying bug found in iOS 6 for iPhone.
Go to APP STORE, then UPDATES, then PURCHASED and scroll down. iPad apps will show mixed in with your iPhone apps. You can even attempt to install an iPad app on the iphone, but it will obviously fail during the install.

If anyone wants a link - search for uhelios on twitter. He has links for every single version.

Getting error:
failed tss submission: This device isn't eligible for the requested build.

Any suggestions. Using the restore method.

Check the MD5 of the ipsw you're trying to install with the ones posted here. Make sure you're applying the ipsw specific to your device.

Anyone figure out how to convert an @me.com address to an @icloud.com one as was mentioned a while back in one of the betas? Haven't been able to figure it out yet...

iOS 6 will help you with that automatically.

----------

for those who are running iOS 6 Beta 4, is it better to upgrade or do a restore to the GM version?

Always better to do a backup then restore, as this will help clear cruft/crap from the previous version, however upgrading is obviously going to be faster. In either case, do a backup first.

Turns out it was the hosts entry (directing towards cydia) from when I had my 3GS... removed reference to it and success!

Ok weird question I installed iOS 6 a little bit ago and during set up it showed I had a .me email address. I never used mobile me, how did I end up with that?

Also anybody seeing battery drain be pretty high?

I've seen plenty of cases where people accidentally created a me.com address when setting up iCloud, so probably by accident.

as for battery drain, not so far on my iPhone 4.

I have iOS 6. I'm asking because I'm unable to determine how to do it and wondering if maybe it isn't up and running/working yet in the GM...

Sorry, but we are not allowed to share the link to such files.
Try asking your friend Google, maybe something like "download ios 6 gm imz".

He may not be as rude as I am, and may actually tell you something useful.

Thanks Amazing Iceman, I found some links :D

anyone can post Checksum for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 wifi? Thanks

try sending an email from another account to your @me.com address only replacing @me.com with @icloud.com, it will probably just work. If not, you may have to wait until iOS 6 is officially out.

General consensus is GM update's can't be done OTA, you have to download from the developer portal, then use iTunes.

Appstore content is all server side.
So apple can change it on their end without having to patch/update the entire OS.
My guess is it will be corrected shortly if not already........ Unless they intended that to happen.

Maps 3D rotation.

The one thing I really like in iOS 6 beta 1 was the feature in Maps whereby you enter an address, it zooms to this address, and if you are in 3D mode (and the city is already 3D'd), it would automatically circle around the building you searched.

Upon updating to beta 2 - continuing with today's GM release - this feature was removed. Am I missing something?

Could someone kindly post the MD5 values for the iPhone 3GS?

Edit: Nevermind, found it on my own. Installed on my 3GS like a charm with no problems. Took about 15 minutes. Runs very well. Absolutely love the new look of the Music player!

downloaded the GM and maps for my local area (Essex UK) is still POOR. nobody can give me the s*** about it "being a beta" because this is being put on the iPhone 5. all i can hope is that google release their map app SOON.

London now has 3d maps all be it awful quality and i'll be honest if i look out of my office window, i can see a better quality 3d rendering of the Gherkin and Herron Tower than Apple can give me.

Apple, please don't release things when they aren't ready for public use. Siri has already pissed me off enough as a UK customer.

it's still freakin' BETA software..... and yet you're still complaining?

You BRICKED your device by updating iOS? I really doubt that.
well, I was stuck with a phone I could not use for anything. I know technically it is not exactly what is called "bricked" - but from a pratical point of view that was it. Anyway I restored it again and it worked. Problem solved !

Don't thank me, thank Google. :D

Checksums will only be relevant if these come from the original source.

I have run into this problem in the past, and it can be avoided by closing all apps and restarting your iPad before doing an upgrade.

You don't. Either pay the $99 now or wait like all the other non-devs.

Haha, expected comment from the kind of guy who lists all his gear in the signature. We're all very impressed.

Seriously I always wondered why people do that, list their gear in the signature, it's like they identify themselves with their computer. Does it have any practical use at all, except for bragging like a child?

Is anyone else actually seeing this issue or is it just me?
