So you still cannot delete songs.

This is utterly ridiculous. I'm not sure I can recall as major a downgrade of an OS.

You're having a laugh? Right? Swipe left to right. If you can't do this methinks your phone is broken.

Nope, it's been the case with each beta of iOS 6. Look around, it's not an isolated issue.

Edit: Unless they're saying you cannot delete songs if you have iTunes Match. Which renders iTunes Match unusable; essentially Apple saying "we'll decide what is deleted from your device when you're out of space and you won't have the option to avoid that".

yep. You can't do it.

I'm lost for words to be honest as its such a stupid feature to not add.

This idea literally ***** all over iTunes match. :(

hey did you manually manage music and videos during your upgrade / restore?

:/

It's like, I have albums that have incorrectly 'doubled up' on iTunes Match. Away from my computer, I have no way of getting rid of the duplicates if I've not realised until after clicking download.

And if I turn Match off and then on, it deletes everything from the device! Not the sensible iOS 5 method of leaving your downloaded stuff on there regardless.

I'll have to see what Google offer, I suppose; I usually detest that sort of comment because it most commonly comes after a minor issue, but this is an anti-music farce. iTunes Match is an abomination of a service now and there's no way I'm resubscribing; to get a proper "mobile" music service I'd now need to lug my MacBook everywhere with me!

You can't manually manage music if you have Match, but you could just delete from your device.

That has now been taken away. Apple will decide what happens if you run out of space, thank you very much. I think at the very, very least they should team up with the carriers to offer free unlimited data for any Match subscriber currently tied to a phone contract, because if you want to get rid of something you HAVE to delete everything currently downloaded.

it's still freakin' BETA software..... and yet you're still complaining?

well it's not is it? the Golden Master is what will be put on the iPhone 5. I could be wrong but other than Siri, no beta has ever been put on a new iphone.

What I'm doing at the moment is when I want to delete an album I go to "Usage" in the settings and the "delete" music. At least it doesn't keep redoing iTunes match but it is ridiculous.

Who can we contact to get this issue raised?

Sorry i'm not sure what you mean?

anyone figure out how you get @me.com to convert to @icloud.com or is it not just live yet and we have to wait till the 19th?

Still have to delete all of the music, though!

It's just bizarre. I mean, instantly an iPhone or iPod + iTunes Match under iOS 6 is hands down the worst 'premium' mobile music player on the market. A stiff, shoddy anachronism.

He means on iTunes - But of course you cannot manually manage music if your iPhone is linked to a Match account, because on-device management is supposed to be the order of the day.

yeah you do have to delete all the music. It sucks.

I think you can manually manage the music? If I remove music off my mac it gets removed from my phone.

Forum rules prevent me to linking to any GM links. 19th isn’t far off but if you cannot wait, then use some common sense – it’s the 21st century.

Actually, forum rules prevent even the discussion of where to get pirated software. I'm amazed that the mods haven't shut this thread down. They must be really busy at the moment.

That's just deleting it from iTunes Match across the board; ie, it wouldn't be available for future download unless you matched it again. You can't actually delete songs from your device and then have them available to redownload.

Even if you could manage music 'old school' it wouldn't change the fact that iTunes Match is dead as a mobile music service.

i have come across one issue with ios 6 and its on the ipad 3. when launching twitter app it shows my email address instead of my actual username and the profile will not load.. ios 6 compatibiity issue? maybe a update is needed. i am however able to read tweets its just the issues mentioned above that i can not get figured out.

Can somebody with the GM and a bluetooth keyboard please confirm whether autocorrect and autocaps work, whilst typing on the hardware bluetooth keyboard?

The lack of autocorrect for external keyboards it has made bluetooth keyboards useless to me, and it's a promised feature of ios6 -- however, it hasn't been implemented in any of the betas so far...

Can you now eventually attach a photo to an email????? This is crazy you cannot do this without either copying and pasting or doing it from the Photo app!

Not from within mail.app. You still have to either copy the photo or initiate the email from the photo app (or camera roll).

try sending an email from another account to your @me.com address only replacing @me.com with @icloud.com, it will probably just work. If not, you may have to wait until iOS 6 is officially out.

Not working for me yet. This sounds like a server-side change anyway. Why would the software on one of the client devices change the server mapping? It could, but it doesn't really make a lot of sense.

I can. Just hold down on the email like you were going to do a select all, then hit the new arrow that appears on the right side. There's an option there to insert photo or video.

Haha, expected comment from the kind of guy who lists all his gear in the signature. We're all very impressed.

Seriously I always wondered why people do that, list their gear in the signature, it's like they identify themselves with their computer. Does it have any practical use at all, except for bragging like a child?

Tight dude. You're definitely the man.

Can you teach me how to be cool like you?

I had no big problems with Beta 4 on Retina iPad 4G (Verizon), but after moving to the GM, the increase in speed I'm getting doing just about anything is quite welcome. Maps really pops now and loads much faster. Very smooth too.

Still waiting for iPhone 4 on Verizon to restore from iCloud backup. I accidentally screwed up the backup on my iMac for it so had to go with the iCloud, but it's literally been running for 12 hours now and isn't done loading 1/3 of the apps. Granted, it is a stuffed 32 GB version...I'm hoping to see much-improved battery life there. iOS 6 Beta 4 ran well for the most part on my iPhone 4, but there were some bugs particularly in Safari and the battery life was really inconsistent. I might leave it with no apps open at a 99% state and come back an hour or two later having maybe received a text and a couple e-mails and the batter would be drained down to 18%. Hopefully that's gone, because I can't get iPhone 5 until October 10 as I got the Verizon iPhone 4 on day 1 last year.
