- UN-retricted access from camera all (lock screen)

This is intentional. If you need to capture a photo RIGHT NOW, having to enter your passcode might mean you'll miss the moment. There is no harm to allowing someone to take photos on your phone without the passcode. In fact, iOS is kind enough to make sure they can only see the photos they just took, and nothing previous in the camera roll. Sharing is also disabled until you unlock the phone and run the full-fledged photos app.

What i mean is you can access ALL areas of the phone, not just the camera app.. and photos as intended.. You can run Safari, make phone calls, access to the phone, WITHOUT unlocking it ..

You really think people are just gonna say "ok, I'll just access the photos app" whey they KNOW they can access any app?

Ya right..

Apple fixed this bug some time ago in iOS6, and now they broke it again in iOS7.. If anyone wants to try this out feel free

I can only use the camera and then go back to the lock screen.

my phone doesnt detect an update and instead says

ota

unable to check for update an error occured while checking for a software update, try again, cancel

any help?

Try restarting the phone, that always help. Also I close all my apps and check again and that works also too

Wow, in a week they managed to fix it and deploy it to every single phone.

Which is what many, including yours truly, like most about Apple. Always knowing Apple is on top of the important stuff. Something that gives users confidence in their choice of products.

If a fix to an important flaw, or an important update isn't immediately forthcoming from Apple, you can bet that there is a good reason, and rather than rushing out a half-baked patch, Apple usually diligently addresses the problem.

It's hard to consider Apple slackers in that dept. They've always been, and still are, perfectionists, and in computing I'd say, that's a good thing.

Blimey, can I borrow your rose-tinted spectacles whilst I charge my iPhone 5 yet again?

I hear you. Point taken. I'm sure Apple is more than aware of that, but I believe that to be a complex issue with no practical solution in sight, at least not a solution that would not result in objectionable compromises. Iow, the lesser of two evils.

More sophisticated battery technology is what the industry is waiting for.

ipod Music Layout

Glad it's secure but they REALLY need to fix this new music layout. How could they not have an option to remove the album art view???

I like this update

Now I can use my iPhone 4S more than 8hrs on internet! With iOS 7, I was crying every 3hrs.

Although I"m glad they're getting these bugs worked out, it's definitely a difference I've noticed; them largely increasing the amount of software updates. Before when Jobs was around, everything was fixed in one go. Not the same.

Where exactly is this issue?

I take advantage of this every time I come across an un-guarded phone ;)

Did they update the way you answer a call? Now it's two buttons instead of the slide to answer. I like the separate buttons actually. Sliding was annoying.

iOS7 works great on my iPhone4. My girlfriend has been complaining about it on her 4S, but I think she's just feeling whiney because I pushed her to upgrade :p

Good to hear (for you, not her)! I've heard the opposite from others...I have it on my 5 and am enjoying it very much.

Strange, I'm a developer and 100% sure the GM (the same build as the public release) had blur. Well it's gone now for sure.

I just hope after a DFU restore of 7.0.1 that my crash issues are put to bed.

I could honestly say the the 7.0.0 release on the 3 didn't have the blur on the notification centre, keyboard, control centre and behind the safari bars like my 4s does.
