Do your parents share the same Apple ID? I suspect that is your issue.

Nope. I even went and checked their settings.

They each have their own iCloud account.

I did it 3 times, same thing every time. Voice-Facetime call my dad's phone number, my mom's iPad rings. Check my phone history and it says I called my dad. Check my FaceTime app's history and it says I called my mom.

Even if their devices are set up wrong (and they weren't, but even if) then the 2 histories in the 2 apps on my own phone should agree with each other.

Oh for ****s sakes. This update just broke my installation. iPhone is in recovery mode and must be restored. Sigh.

Why would he be kidding?

Look at how often Android handsets get updated?

We've had 4 since iOS7 release 2 months ago. Averaging 2 per month. Not bad. Constant stream.

I wasn't making a comparison with Android, I was referring to how slow apple is with Security updates.

But now that you mention it, iOS 7 still has plenty of bugs from the GM around. It could be better.

It's posdible their Apple accounts are linked.

Hopefully this does fix some battery issues. Ever since upgrading my iPhone 5 to ios7 I've had periods where my battery drains 20% in 30 minutes while not being used. Not to mention the phone shutting off and claiming to be dead battery at the 30-40% range. And yes, I've done multiple battery drains, etc to re-calibrate!

But, but, I'm sure everyone knows by now that when you upgrade your iOS you need to reconfigure all your settings to prevent everything from running in the background, right? You likely have dozens of apps that are constantly querying where you're currently located.

Broken Update

Same here. And my last iTunes backup was two days old (yes i know i should have before installing the update). This is not what I had expected. Downloading restore files now :(

I strongly advise against updating without a backup.

Just installed. Hopefully it fixes Bluetooth issues for me, such as a podcast not resuming playback when paired with Bluetooth speakers or headset.

I didint even know there was a FaceTime bug. FaceTime works for me..Hkw about Apple fix the crapppy low FPS animations instead of relatively unknown ones?

Thank you apple
iphone 5s now in recovery mode after OTA update.. now have to reset completely - damn!

any other options than restore??

Same exact issues here. Background App Update is off, etc., etc., but the device often turns off with 30-40% battery life remaining. Once in a while it can be turned back on after waiting 10-15 minutes, but usually it needs to be plugged in. It's clearly an iOS7 issue, because my battery was fine before upgrading.

i have issues with the podcast app not updating like it should. I have had to go in and unsubscribe and resubscribe just to see the new ones. and i have it setup to autodownload

Same here. My advice, if your phone is still under warranty, is to do a full restore, then wait for the shutdown. Don't put any third-party apps on it. Once the shutdown happens, call Apple or have a Genius rep do a diagnostic, which should catch the crash and confirm that iOS 7 is the cause. Tell them it's hurting your business and politely insist on a replacement phone, preferably one running 6.1.4. Might take a supervisor to make it happen, but it worked for me.

Hoping for a fix for on-off button locking up for 20 minutes at a time...could be hardware issue though. Very intermittent and frustrating.

Haha EVERYTHING IS OFF!!! I can't find one more setting to turn off.

I still can't get the app store to accept my fingerprint (even though the settings allow it). One of the earlier iOS releases (7.0.3?) was supposed to fix this, but it just doesn't work for the app store. Only works for for unlocking my phone.
Anyone else run into this and get a fix?

I wish this fixed the issue I'm having. Sometimes on my 5S the fingerprint sensor will not work until I shut down the device and turn it back on. Really annoying!
