sold in China ?

then how does it concern the rest of the world ?

Why should MacRumors.com only cover 'the rest of the world' and exclude China? Why don't people living in China get to have news items that cover events local to them, in the same way that the majority of MacRumours articles are often heavily US-biased (e.g. lots of detail about American mobile phone networks)?

This should mean that iPhone 5s (A1528) I bought in China on release day will work on China Mobile's 4G network without any issues; still begs to see if 3G will work. I will have to try this out.

A few weeks ago, I had to buy the a different iPhone 5s (A1530) to get compatibility.

No update in US.

This update 7.0.5 is specifically released for the iPhone 5s users in China who previously bought A1528. In September 2013, Apple started selling A1528 without 4G support due to the lack of 4G network carriers in China. So, the consumers in China has used iPhone without 4G network since then. Early January, China Mobile released A1530 which supported its newly built 4G network, but previous A1528 users had issues connecting the 4G network. So, lots of Chinese consumers purchase their iPhone 5s/5c from Hong Kong(A1530) and Europe(A1457) because both models could connect to China Mobile's 4G network with Jailbreak iOS.
With 7.0.5, Apple could continue sell A1528 to the Chinese consumers with China Mobile's 4G network support. Chinese consumers will no longer ask their friends or relatives buy iPhones from Hong Kong and Europe and ship back to China. As the result, the sale of iPhone 5S in China will increase, and more subscribers will get China Mobile's 4G services in China. It is a win-win situation for Apple and China Mobile.
I hope my message could explain the reason of the release of iOS 7.0.5 well.
:)

Apple today released iOS 7.0.5 for the iPhone with a minor maintenance update to correct network provisioning in China for some iPhone 5s and 5c models sold in China, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Customers receiving iOS 7.0.5 outside of China will likely see no benefit from the update as it is designed to correct network provisioning within the country.

The update, which arrives as Build 11B601, is only available for some models of the iPhone 5s and 5c sold in China and some European/Asia Pacific iPhone models compatible with China's networks (those that are identified as iPhone 5,4 and 6,2):

iPhone 5s
A1457 (UK/Europe)
A1528 (China)
A1530 (Asia Pacific)

iPhone 5c
A1507 (UK/Europe)
A1526 (China)
A1529 (Asia Pacific)

The update comes more than two months after the release of iOS 7.0.4, which included additional bug fixes and a repair for an issue that caused FaceTime calls to fail for some users.

After reading so much...
i discovered nothing...
Where is Change log..

Like the way people remember ios 6 as if it was the best thing ever, when at the time it was getting absolutely slated. Will happen when ios 8 comes out and people will be reminiscing about the "perfect" iOS 7, which they never thought existed at the time

That's because iOS 6.0 removed YouTube and Google Maps, and Apple Maps was bad for many people. iOS 6 after YouTube and Google Maps returned is just fine. As long as iOS 8 doesn't remove/break/completely redesign anything big then there won't be as much complaining as iOS 6 or iOS 7. iOS 7.1 is already going in the right direction.

Going up a number is not what makes people complain.

First half-year of iOS 6's life:

Awful! Darn! Where is my Google Maps? I'm staying on iOS 5!

Second half-year of iOS 6:

It's so stale! Apple can't innovate anymore! The same interface for 5 freaking years! I'm going to MacRumors to announce that I'm leaving Apple for Android!

Nothing in this thread to warn JailBreakers to hold off on the update. Does no one on this site JailBreak?
Shouldn't that be standard operating procedure for any update for a long time now when it comes to jailbreaking, and pretty much any jailbreaker would already know that almost by default?

i bought an iphone 5c in hongkong, using it in germany, and it's updating...hahah i'm the winner! :D

7.0.5 resolves 3g network issues with Vodafone in UK

No one else seems to be mentioning this so thought I would: with 7.0.4 I was having really bad issues with Vodafone's 3G network in the UK, my iPhone 5s really struggled to get 3G, and would lose it seconds after attaining it, I've had 90% GPRS for a few weeks which obviously has made the phone kind of useless.

With the 7.0.5 update, despite the claim that the fix only applies to China's users, my 3G reception came back and is now strong and solid, it's a really obvious change (and relief) from before.

I'm sure you would have got the update anyway as most people in Europe seem to be getting it. I'm in the UK and I got the update last night.

I'm in the UK and like the others can see this update and have updated.

I'm with Three and have Libon installed (a visual voicemail app). Every time I rebooted, the call forwarding icon showed on the status bar and I had to go into settings to toggle the call forwarding option ON and OFF for it to disappear.

Now with this update, that icon doesn't show anymore after reboot.

Thanks for mentioning that. I've had some problems in Belgium and have been hesitant to upgrade (because we in brussels might finally get 4G now the government decided on the rules for radio emissions) and Apple still hasn't included 2 of the 3 WSP in their 4G compatibility (therefore they are only able to connect on 4G if they get are jailbroken and I don't want to go through the hassle of modifying files in evasion to be able to jailbreak in 7.0.5)...

Well my 5s on O2 is still crap at finding and keeping a 3G signal post update. So you must be luckier than me.

5s updated to 7.0.5 shutdown

I just updated my 5s to 7.0.5. My phone turned off and I could not longer turn it on until now. Anyone here can help me?
