That's because before iOS 7 came out every rumor about claimed it was going to be "flat". Remember 9to5Mac's "black, white and flat all over" headline? It just stuck. Of course Applr has never used the term "flat" when talking about iOS 7, and all the things you mention certainly couldn't be considered flat.
And these rumors were true, just like the vast majority of Apple rumors.

It's absolutely 100% true. IOS 7 as we now know it wouldn't have made it to the public if Jobs were still here. Thats a fact.

Sure but 1) Steve Jobs isn't here and 2) His parting advice to Tim Cook was don't constantly try and guess what I would do, just do what's right.

Whether you like iOS 7 or not, before it's release this forum was full of "If the UI doesn't change, I'm switching to Android" "iOS is stale... Android is looking much more tempting" type comments.

1) I never said that I didn't like the IOS 7 UI, as you put it.
2) If Job's told Cook to do what's right, as you put it, then Cook failed because IOS 7 is definitely not right. Again, as you put it.

That thing has been broken since ios 6... Apple won't fix it unless there's a class lawsuit coming.
Auto-brightness hasn't been broken since iOS 6, and the issue that was introduced in the last beta in relation to it has been addressed in this one, as mentioned earlier.

I'm trying to put across that it's not obvious whether it was a mistake or not. A lot of people like iOS 7. A lot of people didn't like iOS 7 at first but now don't really care.

I don't think it's right to imply that because Steve Jobs wouldn't have released it, it's a bad thing.

Reply button on banners!

The comment title says it all. I saw a mockup video somewhere. It seemed very simple. When you receive an iMessage, there is a blue Reply button on the far right side of the banner if you want to quickly reply. This would open up a Messages-style interface (except the background would be a foggy version of the app you were in) where you can only see the last text you were sent in a bubble. You type your message like normal, and upon hitting Send, the interface fades out and you are back in the app you were in.

:(Really wish I had the link to the video.

UPDATE:I found the link!

Not sure if it's a glitch, but it think it looks nice.

Please fix the freaking music.app. Browsing is a PITA on that thing. Why do I have to swipe through EVERY SONG IN AN ALUBM to get the a song I want. Especially when the artist has several albums out. BROWSING BY ARTIST BLOWS.

I read through this entire thread and didn't see anyone mention it, but I just wanted to see if anyone noticed that Apple seems to have stripped down the "Today" view in Notification Center, rendering it pretty useless. You no longer have the calender grid view, there's no weather forecast and there's no summary of today's events. I just took these screen caps today knowing I have a dinner later tonight on my calender, but there's no mention of it.

Does anyone know if this is specific to beta 4 or was this happening in beta 3? I can't remember exactly.

I think you should do a full restore as it appears to show on my device. Not sure why yours appears like that in notifications but this is what I see.
