I thought my 5S was pretty fast but this update is like an added turbocharger to already powerful engine. It literally feels like I'm blazing through apps on this thing. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Anyone have any issues with the update not downloading? Mine says it's estimated 10 hours, but I have high speed internet...

Maybe add the finger you use the most 2 times. That's what I did.

That works very well; honestly, I can't believe no one had thought of that until that article on TUAW a few months ago...

Millions of people trying to download the same thing = server issues.

You might want to wait until tomorrow.

So this is what the tech-savvy new world order has brought us. People having orgasms over a software upgrade for their telephone.

Good lord…

You know, I hate it when people enjoy something as well. How dare someone get any enjoyment from this! It's almost as bad as a failed excuse to be fully or clever.

If it does not matter to you, why post?

The xda-developers thread for his phone is already deserted!

So far, the only way I've found to get rid of that location icon in the status bar is to completely switch off location services. Surely a bug? 7.1.1!
Look in Location Services in settings and see what app or service is using location and figure out why that might be and change the app settings if needed or even disable location services and/or background refresh for it individually.

Spotlight Bug / No Moving Weather

First, the spotlight feature still has the same old bug. It crashes every time after you type in the first couple of letters. Then when you go back to it, it works, aggravating. Also, I have the Reduce Motion turned on, but now the Weather app doesn't have the animated clouds move or show live rain, snow, fog, etc. Before 7.1 I had the Reduced Motion turned on, but the Weather app still had the animated clouds and such. That really sucks they took that away. I like the animated weather, but I hate the Motion crap going in and out of apps. Anyone else notice that?

Spotlight has no such bug. If you are experiencing that, restore and set up as new. Secondly, reduce motion is for people that have motion sickness, which includes the animations in the weather app. That option was not intended for you.

The transparency of the Safari address bar (and tabs bar) is completely gone on iPhone 5 (not on the iPads). No matter if the button "Reduce transparency" (settings, accessibility) is on or off. On the iPads it's depending on that button if there is transparency or not.

Actually it is a bug. I found several people on the apple website forum that have had the same problem. I did restore it several times since last Fall and it still does it. I use spotlight all the time so that's why I notice it. I'm aware of the motion sickness complaint, it's been all over the news. What I said was, it didn't used to effect the weather app until 7.1. I don't see how slow moving clouds would give you motion sickness for the 5 seconds it takes to look at the weather. I do see how the animation with opening and closing apps would though. Thanks for you input though.

Runs pretty good on all my devices... Good job Apple... Finally get iOS 7 right

YAY! 1000th reply...
