Can't believe today is the one day in the month I left my iPhone 5 at home and took my wife's 3GS. Bleurgh.
Oh well. I guess the servers might be a bit happier at 5:30PM (EDT) anyway...

Couldn't gt my iPad 2 to download until I connected to power, even though it asked if I wanted to continue without power...
Once I connected to power, it started downloading

I wondered about this... my wifes ipad... can't find the charger (shocker...if u knew her, really... ) so I plugged it into an iPhone charger to try to "fool" it into thinking it had adequate power... ha ha

I'm giving Apple some time to sort it out now that its in the hands of the general public.

My fully optimized iOS 6 is doing very well, no rush here :)

I hope people aren't expecting all their apps to be updated right away. Be patient.

Bummer. Got it downloading just after it appeared, and after lots of fails got it going with 15 mins remaining: just the right time before I leave work. Then after a while it failed, and restart stuck on 2hrs. Now I need to leave work and the Wi-Fi zone. :(

I'm still getting the "This version of the iPhone software (6.1.4) is the current version." message

Got it downloading on my iPad 2 on the second try, but it's been sitting at the "Preparing Update" step for 20 minutes or so. The status bar is very slowly creeping along.

OTA download going strong.. Started with an estimated 2 hours and 5 minutes later it says 44 minutes remaining. Wooo wool!!

Update: ...it crashed.

doh !!

OTA is dam right...

I just wasted 930MB or so x2 updating on my iPad..

Worse thing is it doesn't time out. It downloads everything, but then i get a "Software update failed."

So i may try from iTunes on desktop.. at least that way i'll have it on the system.
