Anyone getting an issue where "Offline Music" pauses randomly possibly linked to when your device looses signal even though it is supposedly offline? Really annoying when driving and cant easily click play again.

Yep I get this every day. I only play offline music in the car but yea it pauses randomly for no apparent reason. I also frequently have a drop in audio volume if I use my phone for a call or sometimes if I switch between the music app and sat nav the volume will kinda stick at a reduced level, bizzarely if I'm on the app switcher screen by double tapping the home button the volume rises back to normal :/

This is new for iOS 9 but not sure if this is new for iOS 8.4.1. You can block alerts from Safari.

Sorry but Spotify is much simpler and cleaner than Apple Music. Sadly.
Apple Music reminds of a the old Microsoft. Bloated!!!

Seriously.
This is Spotify: Song is kicking. Go to "go to artist" and hear all of the artist's songs. or go to Album and check at the LP.
Apple Music can't even get that right.

Spotify's UI is clean. I like.

Come on Apple. Wanted to love it but it fell so short.

You don't need to convince me. I have tried both and found Apple Music superior. That it is different for you is great, but please don't present your opinion as fact. Judging from the likes on my post I'm certainly not the only one that prefers Apple Music.

Spotify's interface is a mess. It was even worse in its first iteration! Apple Music's interface isn't perfect, but nothing is in its first version, as your glorious Spotify themselves proved..... The desktop version is worse than iTunes.

Didn't fix the terrible scrolling on the iPad 3. It's less than 10 FPS.

Man, you're still stuck with the Ipad 3!.... Worse of all Ipads except the first.
Wow this update sucks. Apple Music reaally drains the battery fast and my phone gets really hot now.

Check if settings has changed/reset, you can check which app actually is draining your battery in settings, because such a minor upgrade should very little effect on battery. Sometimes also when upgrading, you're battery's 100% point gets confused (charging to 100% is not really 100%), after a charge cycle and reboot it usually sorts itself out.

Yep, I get that too, both in the car and out of it. It still does it with 8.4.1, so it's not been fixed. In fact, I can't see that 8.4.1 has fixed anything, all of the problems I was having are still there.

Apple Music has great potential and personally I much prefer the interface over Spotify, while the fact that all my music is in one place is a major advantage, but Apple has made a complete mess of the rollout. It's beta software at best and should not have been released, but this is something that Apple now seems to do with worrying regularity.

Same here.
I agree with both of you. I have been a Rhapsody subscriber for more than 4 years and free Spotify since it came to US but unsubbed Rhapsody and deleted Spotify. Took a bit of time to feel comfortable with  Music and there are a few things I'd like to see finessed and a few bugs fixed but overall I prefer  Music. After using it for a bit the suggestions in "For You" have been very good and I've discovered a number of new artists, like their playlists generally and have added a numbef of them to Playlists or added tracks from them to my own playlists.

For poster who said they tried to download albums, turn off wifi and cell (hit airplane mode and it def. won't stream) and check. Though the albums (or playlists for that matter) don't have the download gray box in upper right for each track, mine have been downloaded. Using Apple's suggestion page for suggestions and bugs I said they need to automatically add that same "download" mark to each track in an album or playlist.

Hey when I pick a song from a playlist or album and press play, will it now play all the songs in that album or playlist? Or will it continue to just play the same song again and again unless i manually update the next song playlist?

I hope iOS 9 brings some huge changes for the Music app because since the last update at the end of June it has been one huge cluster $*&^!!!! I’ve lost songs, other songs have doubled, the album cover artwork is completely messed up with wrong covers for different albums!

iTunes and Music app are starting to look as “good” as Samsung’s Kies!

Get it right Apple! You canned the dude that messed up the Maps a few yrs ago – what gives with the crap with the Music…?!

Apple Music sucks, 'Curation' sucks. All they do is parse your purchase history and make a few half-assed suggestions based on the data. Spotify's weekly playlist is a thousand times more accurate and useful. It puts me in a difficult place
because now I don't know what I hate more the total ****up they call Safari or their POS music service.

Easy with the assumptive snide personal comments Mr. Smartguy. I've tried the basics, and it is one of the first batch (I assume so, purchased Sept last year, to answer your question....so it could have some initial batch troubles). It needs a genius bar appointment to rule out some other possible issues. Point being...the issues have been there since day one. And multiple people have reported orientation problems over the course of IOS8. I'm by no means the only one. I normally don't complain either...3 IPhones and pretty much zero trouble until this last one. But 11 months in, they either need to fix it software wise, or if it's an internally known problem caused by something else they need to speak up.
Yes the orientation issues are quite prevalent. Air 2 here and if I unlock it with safari open it often won't orient properly until I go to the home screen.

The application formerly known as iTunes, but now known as Apple Music is a total POS which forgets its place when it's restarted.

How cack is that? Like a lot of Apple stuff these days.

Sorry, but I've been around Apple for ages and it's really depressing to see how awful their applications have become. Just like that rubbish website "update" of theirs where you can't find anything.

Thankfully I've installed Ecoute which is a much better music application than the aforesaid Apple poo.

I have the same problem. Pretty sure it's a ram issues and annoying as all f. Hopefully they can patch it where it doesn't automatically just start in the A's in your music list.

I doubt it TBH; they're only interested in streaming now, so don't care for those of us with large collections of MP3s. It's the same with iTunes on the Mac which has all that streaming tat added.

But that's the problem. I've listed to 95% streaming since it was released. But when I throw my phone back in the cradle with a usb cable in the car, the memory has been depleted and it defaults to the local stored music starting in the A's.

I still have inconsistencies with "making songs available offline" in the Music app. For example, when I make an entire album available offline, the individual songs of the album do not show the little "phone" icon and their three-dots-menus still look as if they were not downloaded. And when I want to remove an album from the phone, sometimes I have to remove every single song individually to make it stick. So annoying.

I became an iOS beta tester. Probably one of the worst decisions I've made with my iPhone.... it's sooo buggy.
Anyways been thinking of going back to iOS8
