wow. all my music is gone, aside from songs purchased off iTunes. all my playlists as well. i assume i will get them back after i sync with iTunes at home, but this is pretty lame. i did not sign up for Apple Music and i am not on Match. i haven't read this whole thread, but i certainly wasn't aware updating to 8.4 would delete my entire library!

[edit] the space my music took up is still used, but under General > About > Songs = 0.

I updated thru iTunes 12.1.. and have no issues on my existing music. I did not select to accept Apple Music and other than a new layout, all songs, playlists are there.

So how do we access all this stuff on a Mac? Searched everywhere without being able to find a clear answer. I have the latest iTunes. Is a newer version going to be available today?

Digging the first song they're playing. I wish there was a way to like what they're playing or save it to a playlist.

I already have my family set up with family sharing. That's been set up for a few months. Now that I've updated to 8.4, I signed up for the Apple Music family plan. Once I did that, it prompted me to set up my family. When I entered the password for the Apple ID I use for sharing purchases, it said that I was already part of a family and couldn't proceed. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on getting this set up would be appreciated.

Strange, it still doesn't work on my iPad. It acts like the streaming part of Apple Music does not exist (Radio and Connect are available). It also doesn't give me any sign up option or anything like that.

I figured it might be unavailable on the iPad while I use it on the iPhone (quite likely that there are restrictions like that), but even now that I stopped using it on the iPhone, the iPad doesn't know about Apple Music. Weird.
Oh... I fixed it...

Anyone who has the problem that Apple Music does not appear on your device: Go to the "Music" settings, turn off "Show Apple Music", kill the Music App (not sure if necessary, but can't hurt), then turn "Show Apple Music" back on. That did it for me.

installing now on iPad.. around 226 MB only took 4 minutes...

Nice and quick .That's what i like to see. But we Ozzie's gotta wait till tomorrow (Wednesday) morning for Apple music...

*shakes fist all round*

I never update OTA.... conveniently breaks :)

For everyone who lost their music. Make sure you have "make music available offline" selected

Click on "artists" in your library
