I'm really digging Beats One and the whole integration with Apple Music - I've already added two songs from their broadcast. I just hope they release the new iTunes soon so I can listen to it while I'm working at my desk...

Digging the first song they're playing. I wish there was a way to like what they're playing or save it to a playlist.

You can save tracks that are playing to a playlist :) Although, not going to be saving the one in the image to any of my playlists.....

Spotify is not done. It is home to most of my friends, we share playlists, it works with my Sonos system today, it's the same price as Apple Music. It has Spotify Running (which is excellent). Don't be so melodramatic - Spotify can co-exist with whatever Apple and Google can throw at it.

We'll see who is right about this. There is no way a tiny money losing company like Spotify (or any of the other streamers) can compete. Apple and Google are gigantic and have the resources to ink exclusive deals plus with iOS and Android they already have their services built right into the devices. Not to mention the ability to dictate market wholesale pricing so they can get content at better prices then the small services.

I bet Spotify is bleeding paying customers at an alarming rate as I type this. It's always sort of fun to see Apple and Google take the little guys out. As for me I still have a $4.99 a month deal through Bose with Deezer, but when that is done I'll probably go with one of the big 2 because I'd hate to build up playlists and then one day not see it work anymore when the company goes broke.

You can call me melodramatic, but you too know the writing is on the wall for Spotify.

That's what I told him, but then the rest of his colleagues backed him in my conversation.. He works as a manager in the digital crm dep. Well I guess we can all just hope that's not the truth!
He's disagreeing with the official word from Apple... check the Apple Pay UK site.

My Beats 1, now that Zane is talking, keeps going back over itself - I've heard him say "lets get this thing started" three times so far...
That's bandwidth issues, their encoders will be taking a huge hit with a ton of connections trying to stream at quite a big bitrate for the audience figures. Look at it as a way of buffering, it did it to me and the quality has been dropped ever so slightly to allow them to compensate.

Relax, not even the Mac is getting it yet. Probably a major iTunes update this fall.

From their own press release:

"*Apple Music is available on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC starting June 30."

So I expect iTunes 12.2 for Mac and Windows will hit later today.

not sure if anyone has posted this, but if anyone is stuck on update requested delete the iOS beta profile and reboot then the update will work

My iPad Air 2 freezes on the install. Called Apple Support and they say it's because the 8.4 update is still in Beta. Guess Apple support doesn't have access to the official release.

Update: Apple says there is a problem with the release.

I don't know what's going on. I've been stuck on Estimating Time Remaining for 45 minutes and I've tried restarting and force closing Settings. Any idea how I can fix this? I'm on a strong wifi network; there shouldn't be any download problems.

Found a bug. It suggested to me a Bob Dylan album "Freewheeling Bob Dylan" which I own but is not on my phone. The first song is "Blowing in the Wind." When I clicked it, however, instead of playing the original studio version of "Blowing" from "Freewheeling," it played a live version which I do have on my phone. I could not get it to play the studio version from Freewheeling. Other songs on Freewheelin played fine.

well.. i don't have a credit card and my iTunes account is at really low balance
does that mean i won't be able to join apple music? :(

oh yes, this is MUCH better, A busted music app till tomorrow.

I would of hoped apple actually not just revamped the entire app, but just had a section dedicated to "Apple music"
Apple Music is completely integrated into the music app... that's what makes it so good. If it was just another tab that would suck.
