Spotify actually uses the Vorbis codec. It's probably somewhere between MP3 and AAC in quality, but closer to AAC.

iCloud Music Library Can't Be Enabled...You can enable it from Music in Settings...
Any fixes to this error?
I obviously go to settings and try that, turn off show apple music and then back on, etc. Reboot...
Any luck anyone?
I'm going by my ears. I have to crank the volume in Apple Music to get what I'm currently getting in Spotify.
Time to get rid of that old thing and upgrade it to something modern.
Because when you plug it into iTunes, you are downloading the entire image. Using your phone only updates the bits that need updating.

And MOST people can not even tell the difference... The AAC codec that Apple uses at 256 when tested has a better sound than the 320 mp3 that Spotify uses. Even if they used the same codec the average listener could not hear the difference. Please move on with this lame argument. Honestly both sound great but I am really loving the integration of Apple Music, Siri Integration and many other features over Spotify. I have been a Spotify user for years and think Apple Music will be an awesome alternative!!Audio quality probably. 256 on Apple 320 on Spotify..
Probably I should have initiated the update from my phone. Still, it seems that it shouldn't make a difference? In any event, it's downloading now and I'm sure it will work fine. I generally do my updates this way rather than via wi-fi simply because I feel like the 'hard' connection to my computer and internet service would be a more robust connection, but I know that it shouldn't matter. Anyway, I appreciate your response. Thanks.
Also shut the app before I did the rebootI did a reboot and it worked

i cannot get iTunes 12.2 on my mac. iTunes says everything is current.
Home Sharing is gone or am I too dumb to find it?
is there not a way to make it automatically "make available offline" any music you add to your library?
All of my music is gone as well, and I didn't sign up with Apple Music. So I'm very confused. I just updated to 8.4, signed up for Apple Music, and all of my locally stored music is gone. I checked in settings, and it says 0 Songs. Did all my music just disappear? I have it all backed up on my Macbook, but still, I didn't realize signing up to Apple Music would completely remove all my locally stored playlists and music. There are a lot of live tracks and such that aren't in Apple Music that I have no access to until I can re-sync to my Macbook.
Crazy confusing interface and service at the moment.
Yes that's correct. My bad I didn't know you purchased them. They might show up with the latest iTunes update. Also may have to sync them. Check settings. But I purchased their albums via iTunes. So it should all show up in the My Music tab.
