Anxious to hear some user feedback!

I was able to download the update OTA on my iPhone 5. Once the "preparing update" phase was complete (~ 10 minutes), the screen went blank with a "verifying update..." pop-up. The phone then rebooted rather quickly without the usual indications that the OS was being updated. Once I enter back into the phone, I get a "Software Update: iOS 8.0 beta 3 is now available for your iPhone" popup. It says that I've already downloaded the update and when I select the "Install Now" button, the entire cycle mentioned above repeats itself.

Unable to check

I just get an error telling me it is unable to check for updates. This occurs on both my iPad Air and iPhone 5.

Been getting this for awhile now.

why do i need 3.4 GB of free space to install this???? it used to be 1.8GB
this sucks for people with 16 GB phones.

It was around 3 GB required from beta 1 to 2 OTA, on an iPhone 5s for me.
It needs that much space so that it can actually write the data without having to overwrite anything else in case of an error so it can revert.

IOS 8 beta 2 on my "restored as new" IPad Air tells me I have NO available storage. Ugggh. Now what? Lol.

Been getting this for awhile now.

I suspect the update servers are getting a good hammering - I've got the full iOS 8b3 IPSWs happily downloading via the developer website but getting a similar error from the Mac App Store attempting to get Yosemite dp3...

I use a utility called iTools. Lets you browse the iOS file system somewhat and find those rogue space cloggers

Thanks very much for the tip, that did actually help! Seems I had 5GB of rouge Power Logs that weren't showing up anywhere else. Not deleted and I have the required 3.4GB.

I had tried iFunBox but it didn't show those at all.

You need 3.4 because of the way apple updates the software. Last I heard it was something along the lines of make a full copy of the OS on the device (not sure why), replace the necessary files with those in the update, then delete the old file, so the 3.4 GB is the size of the current OS + size of update + any extra space the OS needs to do its work.

Persistence wins through. Now downloading on both devices.

iCloud drive is in this beta. a lot of the wonkiness with apps not being able to access iCloud seems to be fixed. YouTube/video in third party apps seems to work again.

Things I've noticed so far:

Playlists sizes are now shorter.

Crashes don't occur when accessing camera app from lock screen.

Albums/events/projects from Aperture in photos app now back.

BUG: photo stream for me now is a number instead of 'My Photo Stream'.

QuickType now has a little bar to access it.

Handoff toggle now available.

Recently added now not the same as 'All Photos'.
