If anybody has an issue with their keyboard appearing offscreen on b3 - I've only seen reports of it on iPad - you can work around it by going to Settings, General, Keyboard and turn off Split Keyboard.

OK, the obvious question, is it stable enough for daily use? Any crashes up to this point?

On my 5s it still feels a little unresponsive and certain UI transitions aren't as smooth as on 7.1.2 but it's only beta 3. I wouldn't run this build daily, it's ok for checking out how iOS 8 is coming along but day to day use? No, as is the case with all early betas.

Also, anyone constantly getting the iCloud login window popup? This was very annoying, because apart from that issue in beta 1, it was running very smoothly.

I had that in BETA 1 and 2 (only on reboot), but on BETA 3 I haven't seen it at all.

Apple Releases iOS 8 Beta 3 to Developers

Safari synchronizes history to each device (and even from past).

(OS X to iOS, I'm not sure if it works also opposite way)

Having issues with updating:

OTA says unable to Check for Update

When plugged in it says 'iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone “iPhone”.'

Any ideas on how to update without doing a restore?

Issues

Hello,

how is this Beta going, is it good for everyday use or not yet? Plz reply and let me know how it's going. Thanks

Since installing beta 3, my battery drains incredibly fast even with the appropriate battery saving solutions being used. I would say on standby with no apps running and sitting idle, the battery will drain over 10-15% in 10 mins.

Any solution for this or do I have to wait for iOS 8 beta 4 for a possible fix?
This was not happening at all on beta 2.

Thanks!

That's Deffo not right. Restart the device? Clean install then restore from backup? Or just a full on clean install and no restore. Those are my suggestions. I'm at 40% after unplugging 15 hours ago with moderate use throughout the day.

B3 worse than B2

Since upgrading to Beta 3, my music app freezes constantly and I cannot use my Bluetooth headset at all. I restored last night to see if that would clear it up, but no, so tonight I go back to beta 2 seeing it's gonna be, what, 2 weeks before 4. I reported the bugs on my iPad, which does the same, since the bug report tool on my iPhone has not worked in Beta 3 either.

And BTW, what's with the little x button for dismissing notifications? It looks like they forgot to put the blue dismiss button in and this is the 'alternate text' version. They could at least put the borders at the top and bottom so it looks like it was done on purpose.

3.4GB room to install?? I have a 16GB phone forget that its never happening. How can someone with 16GB phone install this on their phone? Space is limited as it is.

Haven't had less than 4 GB of free space on my 16 GB phone in a while. That said, iTunes can help out when installing through it instead as it won't need as much extra space and can uncompress on the computer rather than the phone.

iPhone 5c not stable on iOS 8 beta 3

Hello.

I've downloaded the third beta of iOS 8 on my iPhone (5c). In the first few days, it was really smooth and stable. Now I've had ever since it came out, and it's diving me nuts!

Here are the cons:
-Reboots itself whenever its on standby or when I'm using it
- Drains my battery
-Lags/crashes on some apps
-Sometimes when I report a bug on Bug Reporter, it doesn't send it says that I'm not authorized for that service (only happens when I report certain bugs)
-Have to reboot my iPhone to have the sound on

Please help me. I don't know if it's a good idea to restore iOS 8 and maybe set as new iPhone or just reinstall it. I've reset the iPhone (held down the power and home button for about 10 seconds) a lot of times and it still doesn't help.

Thank you,
Brandon

Looks like beta 4 has just been released. Maybe it will help out with some of that.
