Yes I will love this feature especially if it lets u SMS over wifi as well. Can anyone confirm?
Hanging at install. Progress bar has not moved in 20 mins, still waiting it out. Stuck at (obviously guessing) 97%...
I turned Airplane Mode on and Wifi and Wifi Calling On and was able to call and send text messages. Through Wifi Calling.
Any progress? Installed on my Retina iPad mini lightning-quick but it's been hung at, like, 97% on my iPhone 5s for like half an hour now.
Does anyone have any answers why handoff is working for only like 10% of us? If handoff is working please list what devices you have that are working together I have an iPad mini one a Mac book Pro 2013 early and an iPhone 5s and none of them were working with handoff
Currently not working between iPad mini retina and iPhone 5s for me. It's been touch-and-go over the last few betas anyway.
Nothing... So forced reboot (holding power and home) restarted and got back to "slide to upgrade". Now white screen updated quickly and phone is back.
Now: iOS 8 is up to date.

It's nice to see folks that understand betas (not first quote).
Developers have a list of new APIs, deprecated APIs, and like the Professor and Mary Ann: "The Rest" of the APIs. They check the ones they use for their apps and report bugs to Apple. When they have time they play with other features and apps, or not. I don't expect them to be the ones complaining about Facebook or battery life or lag or (pick from 80% of the posts in this thread). Sorry for the borderline troll post but sheesh.----------
If they put enough pre-iOS 7 design elements back in iOS it will return to what made it so wildly successful and easier to use. So sad to see Apple backpedal so slowly when they obviously came to this realization in iOS 7.
Seems that Apple is having issues with the update process of recent. iOS 7.1.2 had the same issues forcing a hard reset to complete the update. Now seeing a lot of the same for iOS 8 b5. They actually posted a KB article describing this stating it could take a while to complete but so far anyone I have heard with the issue has had to hard reset.

After the upgrade I was forced to enter my iCloud credentials again. After entering them and clicking sign in my email address and password get the little checkmark next to them and then I get the following error:
"An error occurred while trying to save the icloud account"
It blanks out the iCloud username and password. If I try again it says the account has already been added. If I go to my contacts, they're all gone.
Any ideas how to solve or work around this error. Would be great to have my contacts back on my phone.
Nope, I pretty much got it correct - Betas are hardly worth the drawn out process for some 49 cent app developers - small picture vs big picture - bracing myself for yet another buggy release.
It was working perfectly for me between my beta 4 iPad mini one my beta 4 5s and my MacBook Pro early 2013 OS X DP4.
Haha k. It's working now between my ipad mini one and my 5s. It seems it started to work once my 5s was completely out of range from my iPad mini and then when i was back in range it worked ....cuz all i did was take my 5s to work with me and leave my iPad mini home
and after reading the Developer Release notes for DP 5 and seeing that "Handoff will not work on systems with more than one user account" ---I deactivated the guest account on my OS X----and now handoff of apps is now working completely from my iOS devices to my OS X device, vice versa, and from iOS to iOS.

Try going into privacy settings and disable location services for the Apple Store app.
