Yeah, but then starting downloading about a minute after I received that message.

I'm looking at a progress bar on my iPhone that started at 20 minutes, went down to 15 minutes, then crept back up, and is now going back down. iTunes still says I'm current. I should just go have lunch and come back.

I still don't understand how apple doesn't prepare more for launch days like these. Every year there are the same issues when trying to update..

The smart thing would be to do it at say 1PM local time so just people in that time zone could update at that hour and so on. It would give the servers a break and this forum/threat would hit 100+ posts in minutes maybe.

I was able to download it within 3 minutes, but is taking forever to prepare the update... I'm waiting for 20 minutes, but it is almost finishing

lol, no doubt...that's what I have. I had to delete Facebook to make room.

Requires 4.6GB, so anyone on a 16GB iPhone is basically screwed

...and this is just one of many reasons why a 16GB iPhone is just not a good idea if you can afford a bigger capacity phone...

I'm still stuck at "Downloading" no percentage yet.

I started this damn process at 5.58 UK time and we're still not of the mark yet. It might be ready for breakfast time tomorrow morning at this rate.

For those updating OTA and finding they lack space to update: turn off PhotoStream in Settings → iCloud, update (remember to skip iCloud Storage) → turn PhotoStream back on.

My OTA now shows the download will take an hour, and my iTunes cannot contact the Apple servers. Why, oh why, do I feel the need to install this right off the bat? Everyone and his brother are doing it--this will take much longer than if I waited.
