Any feedback on the battery life with 6sPlus ? It's too soon to say but i think its a huge battery killer. Gonna give it more time. Except for that one everything else is great. It's the smoothest iOS 9.

Apple STILL haven't fixed the Safari tab previews bug!!!

Apple STILL haven't fixed the Safari text selection bugs!!! (and the popup menu is slightly slower to appear!)

Screw you, Apple. Fix your **** before you promote new features!!

6s updated last night. This morning
1 hr standby and 25 mins of usage and I've already dropped 1% since my first charge will see how this goes the rest of the day.

What safari bugs?

For the last 30 (?) minutes, I've been searching for the YouTube video playlist "iOS slop" someone posted here or on Apple Insider in the last few days. They're a bunch of panel sliding glitches but one video demonstrates the Safari tab/page preview bug (wrong or no image shown for pages/tabs when going to tab/page selector view). I cannot find it. I tried. It exists. I see this bug on my iPhone 6s and my iPad Pro 12.9" daily. It takes zero effort to trigger. Just use multiple tabs and switch between them a lot.

I really did put out a lot of effort looking for this video for you. [Edit: looks like I spent more than an hour, actually] All I found was someone on Reddit asking if this bug is fixed in iOS 10 (and no, it's not me; I don't have a Reddit account).

As for the text selection:

1. Text selection on web pages is well complained about on the web. Google it. An addition to the complaints I see a lot, the selection handles also sometimes don't respond to touch-drag actions at all.

2. Editing multiple lines of text on web pages, such as in this very comment field, results in selection highlights that are incorrect. The selection is correct, but the highlight might only be on one word. Scrolling with a selection often shows the highlight moving around in the content.

3. Touch-hold-drag or double-tap-drag actions (to move insertion point or select text beyond the far right visible part of a one-line text box, to "scroll" the text horizontally when it doesn't fit in the visible space) often don't work at all (such as on the subject line of the apple iPhone feedback form) or will completely disable if you try to drag down to a line below (seen a lot on those tiny comment boxes on Facebook's website).

4. Double tap a word you want to change, see the auto text suggestions offered, tap on one... What happens? On my device, it changes the suggested word (not the highlighted word) or just blinks the menu and doesn't actually replace the word. (This happens elsewhere too).

5. Several forums' text edit boxes conflict with iOS autocorrect behavior. Missing capital letters on new lines, for example (among worse things). Can be seen on Apple's forums and on the Apple Insider forums.

6. Pressing return in a text field like this one, while adding new lines at the bottom of the viewable area, does not move the page scroll down. You have to manually scroll to see what you're typing.

7. Autocorrect gives up if you try to put a square bracket [ or ] around a word you're typing (same with some other characters), such as my "actually]" edit above or when I tried to create the "[ive" edit at the end of this list). It'll even get stuck suggesting incorrections.

8. 3D Touch editing isn't free of bugs either. Sometimes using it to move the insertion point looks like you got the job done, until you release and the insertion point snaps back to where it was before you tried to move it. Other times, it moves in a mirrored direction after running the insertion point up against the left edge of a text field (Apple's own iPhone feedback form does this at random).

9. Not Safari-based, but: iOS often autocorrects "Apple's" to "apple's", which makes zero linguistic sense.

[Edit: I've added to this list about six times now]

Clearly Apple developers and executives don't participate in forums or edit web page comment texts with tapping on their screens...

I also still see a lot of cases where link tapping fails once, twice, or even three times before tapping a link works.

Yes, I've reported basically everything to Apple.

Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed response and going through the trouble of searching YouTube. The only glitch I notice is #6; and ive adjusted to that automatically. I spend a bit of time on my 6s in safari and would noticed the other points you raised. It could be Ive adjusted to the behavior and don't notice them anymore.

I maybe added a few more since you last read my post.

Thank you for your polite conversation on this topic. I'm used to people just rejecting my statements as "you're doing it wrong" and other rudeness.

Cheers!

I almost never updated an app that said "bug fixes, patches, and improvements" and felt anything different.

Has anybody had any issues with Bluetooth, especially with in car bluetooth hands free phone gear?

There were some people who reported issues with the last couple of point releases breaking their connections to their phone's in car bluetooth speakers. My wife doesn't want to update if its going to break that feature.

Can't guarantee your wife won't have issues, but I don't have issues and I've been in the beta program.

Only been a day ... biggest new issue; some apps will lock shortly after launch. Example: Camera locks on a white or black screen, a banking app locks at the fade out > fade in transition from login screen, music app is playing but the controls fail to respond. In all cases, after a reboot they seem to work fine.

Note: I updated via iTunes - 6S+

I concur. No guarantees but I has a small issue on beta 3 if I remember, where BT in car went wonky. Had to simply delete and pair it again it and all was fine. No issues since Beta 5. If you do it quickly you can always go back to 9.3.2 for a few days. So try it and see and if problems go back.
last time i took it in they wanted to send my iphone to a facility for testing i will go anyway since my charging port pins is also bent

How do you bend the pins in a lightning port? WOW! Yeah I would go to store since you have the appt and perhaps they swap it out and fix both issues. Be sure to let us know the outcome of the flashing dock deal.

Yep, this is it. It leads to you basically assuming if all messages are read except the last one, then all are read. Crazy this hasn't been fixed in any of the betas/new releases.

Downloaded iOS 10 public beta on my iPad and still the same issue.
It's gotta be a glitch on the server side given how it's showing up cross platform and cross iOS version, but why then does it not show up on Mac Messenger? Weird. It's annoying more than anything but I wish they'd fix it already.

That not common for that user to experience that
Not common? It's rampantly common. Check google and the Apple support forums.

You happen to also see a correlated issue (or perhaps just coincidental) with your iPad mini 2 where when that Night Shift stuff happens, the screen also seems to wake up all by itself, automagically?
On several occasions I've reached for my iPad and it is already awake. Hmm, I think, I didn't wake it up, and I haven't gotten any notifications. It is usually in the morning, usually when not on power, and I've noticed Night Shade is on after it should have switched off.

Thank you for posting that. I thought I was either crazy or had a ghost hanging around in my home office. I have come in on many occasions to find my 12.9 iPP sitting there on the home screen when I was certain I had pushed the sleep button the night before. I do have night shift turned on also. It seems that I have seen this happen at other times than over night but can't be sure.

I am going to update anyway, so maybe that bug is gone.
