iPhone X getting error OTA saying unable to check for updates? Anyone else’s getting this error message OTA.

I got it all of yesterday on my Xs Max running 13.1. Last night I plugged it in to iTunes on my Mini and it immediately notified me that 13.1.1 was available so I had to update through iTunes.

Strange thing is, I saw where this was only a ~100MB download but when updating through iTunes it was a ~4.1GB download which sucks when you don't have access to broadband. I let it download overnight and installed it this morning.

Has anyone noticed a slight drop in screen contrast and color saturation after installing this update? Wife's iPhone 11 Pro seems not as contrasty or saturated after updating. Is there an adjustment setting for these in iOS 13?

When updating on the iPhone OTA it shows a delta update which just contains the changes from 13.1 to 13.1.1. iTunes will always download and install the full update image which is why it is so much bigger.

Not strange at all. iTunes always downloads / installs the full IPSW image. Every time, no exception.

Unfortunately, I am still having wired CarPlay issues. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. It did work today, but there were at least 2 times where unplugging and replugging the lightning cable did not 'fix' the issue.

Why don't you downgrade to 12.4? While you can?
If that doesn't work Apple should replace it in store..

How do I downgrade back to iOS12?

Update 1: I found this article and followed the first set of steps, then got an unknown error and was forced to restore my phone (in progress). Worried Apple may no be longer signing iOS 12.

Updated 2: I was able to downgrade using Method 2 on this site. Even so, the camera still doesn't work. No drops, etc. so unsure what happened.

Updated my XS Max to 13.1.1, but my battery drain is still higher than 12.4!!
Drained from 95% to 79% in 3 hours while the screen was mostly off.

I have experienced two so far - the bullet points in the notes app not aligning properly, and the floating keyboard not expanding correctly. Relatively minor overall.

I REALLY wish to know who is the INCOMPETENT that implemented the iOS 13 "Dark Mode" function: it is SLOW & BUGGED like HECK!
E.g., on my iPhone X:
1) in Safari the pages DON'T stay inverted;
2) EVERY app take at least a FULL SECOND to invert when lauched;
3) the keyboard DOESN'T stay black but RANDOMLY revert to the Light one

Saw the safari bug on the beta. iOS 13.1.1 seemed to have resolve this issue and others.

After updating to 13.1.1, my IPhone Pro Max isn’t starting CarPlay on my 2018 Chevy Impala. Restarting the phone (and the car lol) aren’t fixing it. Other than some glitches early on in the beta cycle, this is the first time I’m really having issues with CarPlay.

Why are people so quick to swap out devices at the first sign of an issue? Read about it all the time. Only to see it’s not hardware it’s software. Does nobody test anything anymore?
The demographic here is not the same. These are consumers mostly. They aren't going to dig into the Settings, read How-To guides, or troubleshoot. Most probably don't realize that the MR Forums include discussion boards for technical and professional advice.

I don’t have this bugs on my phone.

Safari pages must be programmed, like macrumors, to become dark under the iOS dark mode setting. That works fine. Also the switch in customized apps.

Anyone else having GPS issues? Sometimes it struggles to get a signal, and when it does it’s really inaccurate.

Is there anything similar to the feedback app for Beta, to send issues to Apple for iOS?
