Ahh, that how you spin it. Forgot that, I usually deal in reality.

Reality is there is no large tech company without faults. I’d rather have issues like this than hardware issues that cannot be repaired. Software bugs are very difficult to narrow down as many devices in different states, various running apps etc. Also serious security issues are addressed to all devices, even ones well past the usual cycle. I am happy that Apple sees it wisdom to apply fixes quickly and responsibly.

Doesn't appear to have to fixed an issue I'm seeing on my iPad Air 3: constant requests to re-enter my Apple ID password and my iPad passcode. Over and over and over. Anyone seeing this?

I can't believe it's 2019 and I'm still not allowed to download a 108.5 MB OTA update unless I'm on WiFi.

Some people don't have large data plans and could unsuspectingly put themselves in a overage position.

Or

the OTA data stream is prone to latency or packet loss.

I thought about that. I think the carriers don't want their networks saturated at the same time with updates.

I hadn't thought about that angle, but it would definitely happen. But an override should be available for the desperate who want to do it anyways. Course that's a nice to have which is far down the line of things to fix at this point. Good to see we're getting our first minor fix update.

I mean, I agree in principal, but heaven forbid Apple try to avoid you paying for data unnecesarily, what monsters!

  1. I'm set for manual software updates and was choosing to try and install the update.
  2. You can download apps and app updates that are well over 100MB in size.

Isn't there a new setting in Cellular I think, that you can set to allow downloads over 200MB now over cell? Maybe that was just for apps tho? Try setting that and see if it helps.

I think that just might be for apps. I can't find it.

Agreed but I was trying to perform a manual update where I was choosing to download the data.

Yeah I had that on every single iDevice I own. The only way to get rid of it and fix it was to sign out of iCloud and sign back in. #HASSLE

My iPhone 6S insists that there is no update available. My iPad 5th gen and iPhone 11 Pro can see it, though.

Admittedly iOS 13.0 was less perfect than Apple would have liked, but they are dealing with the big issues in a very responsible and timely fashion. We're getting close to perfect now.

But why didn’t they wait for two weeks and release the ready product before annoying anybody?

might be time to change your password if you've not done so in a while.

You know, I really would not prefer to see political statements on this site.
I turned off signature display so don't see any signatures at all from anyone. I do it on every forum I subscribe to; luckily most have this option.

Back on topic ... this update won't show if you have the beta profile installed. As I don't have any of the issues this is meant to fix, and I do have issues that aren't listed (Mail, mainly), I'll just wait with my beta profile for 13.2.

I've thought of this. I think the issue was they had the 11 and new iPad ready to ship and start selling on a certain date and iOS 13 just wasn't ready. They had to get something out so that the new 11s were supported.

Either way, 13.1.1 is showing as an OTA update but not through iTunes.

This is becoming embarrassing tell my folks , hey another update and another and another in the same week. Takes ages to update for them. Sloppy release as expected. It wasn't ready for release but they rushed it for the iPhone release.

This whole “beta testing” process leaves a lot to be desired....
Definitely shouldn’t be major bugs and 3 releases in a 14 day time period
