I love that Apple quickly releases updates as bugs/exploits are discovered. It’s a common misunderstanding that this is a sign of poor QA, I’m often explaining it to my less technically inclined friends. If your platform doesn’t have frequent updates, it simply means they aren’t fixing things. It’s like your body’s immune system: if it’s constantly killing bugs, it’s working. If it’s not, you likely have serious problems.

Is anyone noticing that their Taptic Engine is behaving weirdly? The deep, flat haptic taps when you 3D Touch on an app in the home screen sometimes produces sharp, metal on glass type clinks. I thought this was a hardware problem (and apparently so did Apple) so I got my iPhone swapped out for a new one. It's still happening with the brand new phone.

Apparently you've missed at least 3 thread titles involving CarPlay not connecting in either wired nor wireless connections. It doesn't seem to be a problem for everyone, but it certainly is a problem.
I have only seen a couple car models reported. Is there a bigger list. Working fine with new 11 Pro Max and 13.1 on my Mazda 6. I am curious about other cars as i am watching for a friend who was given a X with 13.1

iPad is stuck on the "Update requested" for the past 5 minutes plus... I never touched anything except going to the "Software Update"tab in Settings/General. Have auto update off.

iOS 13.0 vs 13.1 was a special case for Apple for God knows why, but 13.1 was in beta before 13.0 was even released. Other than that, they've just released 13.1.1. If that's too much for you leaving you all stressed out, please stick with iOS 12 for now and relax.

iPhone X getting error OTA saying unable to check for updates? Anyone else’s getting this error message OTA.

Yes, getting that on my XS max. Even tried rebooting a couple times. Same error whether on wifi or cellular.

I've seen BMW and my Chevy, no idea how long the list is.

This is actually quite comical. I decided to come back from Note 8 and 9 to the iPhone world (I'm a frequent switcher) and just got the 11 Pro Max. The iOS 13 is by far the buggiest OS put out by Apple ever, as long as I can remember, and I can remember a long way back. Hopefully they can get the bugs worked out quickly, but all their pledging recently that they are working on improving the software quality are just that so far - pledges. Quite embarrassing for a company that used to be the epitome of solid, mature, and trouble-free software.

Anyone else having an issue with mail where you close the mail app and upon re-launching it some random already-read message in your mailbox defaults to open rather than the message list? I've only been having this problem since I upgraded to 13.1, I skipped 13.0. I'm using an iPhone 7. Upgrade to 13.1.1 is in progress right now.

No joy on the east coast. iTunes keeps saying 13.1 is the most current version. Maybe I'll wait and try again tomorrow.

Doesn't appear to have to fixed an issue I'm seeing on my iPad Air 3: constant requests to re-enter my Apple ID password and my iPad passcode. Over and over and over. Anyone seeing this?

Have you tried logging out your Apple ID under settings/iTunes & App Store?

Fixed it for me

They could, but then they can't rub Google's nose in "fragmentation". ;)

Fragmentation is already in play. There was a new version of iOS 12 released the other day for phones that aren't eligible to be updated to 13.
