Reminders is still broken on my S4 Apple Watch so I wish one of these many updates would fix that already.

I appreciate updates, but the amount of them for iOS13 is getting a little ridiculous. The average user doesn't want to keep having their phone update all the time.

Edit: Since September 24th they've released 8 updates for iOS13. That's just too many.
The average user (my mom for example) doesn't even realize auto-update is on already. They don't really have to worry about this.

This is getting ridiculous. iOS 11 was the same deal and iOS 12 was very polished. Now we're back to iOS 11 state.
Yeah I feel the same. The last "bug fix" for iOS 13 gave me some very critical bugs on my iphone. I wish I could go back to iOS 12. I'm all for these updates to fix as many bugs as possible but the fact they keep introducing new ones is getting so annoying.

I see that others have already responded to your whine-fest. 🤣

Updates install automatically at night by default, so this is a non-starter. Plus, if 10 updates don't get installed, only the latest one needs to be, not all 10.

iOS updating is the simplest thing in the world. You can keep using your phone while the update is occurring – except when it's restarting, which is quicker than ever, too.

When are they going to fix the Hotspot problem which means it keeps closing and dropping connection every ten mins? It did it on my Xr and does it on my 11, never did it on IOS 12, also some devices can connect but there is no internet, I had to buy a wifi dongle because Tim Cook has ruined Apple’s software departments with his cost cutting measures ro keep profits up, if he was as obsessed with Apple’s Software quality as Steve was we wouldn’t be in this mess

A plethora of updates to IOS 13 have come quite frequently since its debut. However, as of yet, Apple has still not fixed the iTunes corruption problem where album art and playlists are so totally corrupted and disorganized they are unusable. I logged a detailed case with Apple support where they shared my screen, iPhone screen and took data dumps. That was almost two weeks ago and still no reply or fix!

No the buck stop with the CEO no one else, every time I get a bug I blame Tim Cook and only him

Oh IOS 11 was great too was it ?
iOS 10 was quite good. Picking out some and ignoring the others doesn’t really make something be only one way or another.

iOS updating is the simplest thing in the world.

It's really not, though. Linux has the simplest updating. The OS can do it automatically, or you can do it. It happens quickly, quietly, with typically no user interaction, and only the necessary packages are updated. There is no rebooting except for kernel updates (and even that has the potential to be updated without a reboot). There's a reason Linux servers have uptimes of a year a more.

Having used Windows 10, macOS, iOS and a few variations of Linux (I stick with Debian now, where possible). I would rank them as follows (in order of best to update to worst):

1. Linux.
2. macOS
3. Windows
4. iOS

iOS is the only operating system I have used that requires a complete shutdown during the actual update process, every time. People rail against Windows but that's probably because they're using the default settings; if one takes 30 seconds to actually configure automatic updates it also happens seamlessly without user interaction, and typically does not require a reboot.

Like others have said, I wish Apple would quit trying to put out new operating systems every single year. I absolutely hate it because it breaks things and the next 7 months are living with problems or trying to fix them. This is exactly why all of my Macs are still on High Sierra, to include my iMac Pro.

My iPhone 11Pro Max was connected to my OWC dock when I mistook a dock-cord for a computer-connected cord. I backed it up then proceeded to update. The backup appeared to work but the update failed and the phone showed a graphic of a cord connected to a computer so I realized it was not directly connected to the computer. The update failed and had to be restored to factory settings. Then I had to restore from the backup I had just done (lucky...I'm not always perfect about backing up before a minor point update). I had to enter my Apple Id to unlock the phone. Then my backup password, which I had forgotten but was already a default. It is restoring from backup now and I hope the initial backup is OK...we'll see in "2 minutes".
