I appreciate updates, but the amount of them for iOS13 is getting a little ridiculous.
It would have been better if they had shipped a 100% working iOS 13. Failing that, continual updates making incremental forward progress towards that 100% working iOS is the next best thing. If you don't want to install every one the second they come out, then don't. Your iPhone will take care of it eventually.

If you simultaneously want to have the very latest/greatest, and you don't want to do the (quite modest) work required to keep updated, well, that's on you.

Asking for less progress, or delayed progress, on fixing the bugs, is not helping.

Edit: Since September 24th they've released 8 updates for iOS13. That's just too many.

people complain when bugs aren’t fixed, and complain when bugs are fixed.

awesome.

This is getting ridiculous now, with a new update nearly every week. I love apple & have had iPhone for 10 years, but to the best of my knowledge this is the most number of updates for any major release to date..

Come on Apple, get your act together..

So your point is that Apple should not fix any latent bugs once they have issued a certain number of updates?

Would you rather they took longer to address issues?

I mean, of course, you could say "better if they didn't have issues to begin with", but since they do, I'm glad they are, at least, fixing them quickly and not making us wait for one big update instead.

They are not alone. The average joe doesn’t see it that, they can appear to be annoyed by the amounts of updates.. us being tech savvy are aware that these updates are essential for a better OS. But @Kyle4 acknowledged he appreciate the updates, it’s just quite a bit. For which, it’s true. And I’m on the beta route.

Raise your hand if you think we will be on iOS 13.5.6 by the end of this year 🙋🏽
They can keep updating as often as they like, as long as they keep killing bugs. I suspect this will be the last version supported by the Air2, SE and 6S and since I have to support devices in that range I have no issue with them updating regularly. 13.2 was fine for me and while I noticed the regular refreshing of apps it didn't take long for them to fix that. Eh.

Anyone have an issue with their AirPod Pros in which they are fully charged, but one of them has an exclamation point next to them and audio only comes out of one? Had to reset them to fix it. Annoying issue.
I don't own AirPod Pros but I have had that issue with my 1st Gen AirPods. The funny thing is sometimes the sound fails with the left and sometimes it fails with the right. Sometimes the issue just goes away when I put them in my case and take them out, sometimes I have to do a reset, and other times I've had to do a reset more than once. I have also sometimes had my AirPods fully charged only to have the phone tell me one of my AirPods was barely charged. (I have had this issue before iOS 13.)

I will state that I also own a pair of 2nd Gen AirPods, and they're also hooked up to my iPhone so that might be the problem. (I have yet to experience this issue with my 2nd Gen AirPods.)

Sorry but totally disagree, iOS 13 has been a mess so it needs more updates to hopefully get it in good shape quicker. I’d rather bugs fixed sooner and put up with a bit extra time doing the updates than wait longer for things getting fixed.

Why’s everybody complaining about the amount of updates? In stead of waiting 2 months to release one update with 20 fixes, they are now releasing 4 fixes every week or two. If you all had to wait for two months to get a specific bug fixed you would have complained about the LACK of updates.

And personally I love updates so it’s Christmas in November thanks to Apple!

Updates are primarily done to correct issues. More frequent updates mean more issues corrected faster than holding them back for a larger later bulk update. To me this is a good thing. If you don’t need a specific fix included in an update don’t rush to install it.

Since there is a lengthy delay between when Apple makes an update available and when notifications start prompting users to install the update. The “average user”, who doesn’t manually check for updates, probably doesn’t even realize that the updates are this frequent.

It is more likely that only the non-average users who follow Apple specific news are installing the updates right away.

Can’t see a problem with having updates, I’d rather more than less if it means bugs etc and new features come on line, 👍😁

ps glad the mail issue is being fixed with this update, thought I’d done something wrong 👍🥴

Mail app is still POS, push isn’t properly working 100% using @icloud address. emails are delayed in showing up. Why can’t they fix this. Worked so great on iOS 12

What a Christmas gift! A well-functioning mail app months after iOS 13 was released!

It's not about winning. Apple is not what they used to be. And we must accept it....

The weeks and month of using iOS and not having a single problem or reboot days have came and gone...

When you are as big as Apple and plug so many features and come the first release, there are issues. That's not Apple.

Apple, iOS and MacOS used to be staples in the industry, Now standard features are broke or don't work correctly.

That is an issue with most people seeing now days. The Core Solid OS has cam and gone and now we get half baked, then patches over and over that should have been addressed way ahead of release.

Half baked sounds familiar......... BlackBerry OS???

I guess it’s better than NOT fixing the bugs.

Mail in all 3 OS releases has been wonky, especially regarding mail groups (which started appearing differently on different devices). What I don’t understand is how so many obvious problems slip through public betas. It’s as if none of the testers use Mail.

I think that Apple should still sign the last point version of iOS 12. It's not fair to leave so many marooned with a bad version of iOS. Of course they won't do this. But they should.
