Is this meant to be sarcastic? Leaving an app, closing an app... same thing, right? So what is the bug exactly? Are you saying the apps *crash* when you leave them? Is it happening with every app or only some apps? The bug could be in the app, not the OS, right?
I don’t think they’re crashing. If I leave Safari, then open it again, everything relaunches, all tabs are refreshed too.

Same with other apps like Amazon, I’d leave the app after browsing for products, when I return to it the app relaunches and I’m back at the main screen. If I have YouTube playing in the background, then I paused it from Control Center, the app is suddenly relaunched.

Yeah I’m not having any such problems. Apple Music is working the same for me. I have an iPhone 11 pro max
For those complaining about Apple Music not working - I also have this issue however I have not yet updated. It seems to be an issue with Apple servers right now.

Okay - good to know (I think). I CAN play downloaded music from my phone. But not Apple Music - so maybe it is indeed an Apple Music service issue, and not the update?

Superb. We now have more emoji than any human could scroll through, but Mail is still a train wreck...

How is Mail a train wreck? I keep seeing scattered comments about this, but what are these issues? I've got three IMAP accounts set up in Mail across three separate providers and all accounts are working perfectly.

When I try to play a song from apple music, even songs already downloaded on my phone, when I tap on the song it sends me to a screen that says "You already have apple music". Does anyone else experience this? So annoying that I can't play my apple music songs that I am paying for!

I never experience that with Safari. Never. But I've seen at least one other report of this. Could it be memory on the device? I've got an iPhone XR.

I also don't experience any "resets" when opening apps. I've frequently got 20 apps in the app switcher and they all work perfectly when activating them.

Which device do you have? Could it be a bug specific to certain devices?

"HomeKit‌ enabled routers"

More talk of the "HomeKit‌ enabled routers".
Has anyone ever seen one of these mythical devices? What brand(s) support this HomeKit‌ enablement, and how do you activate it?
You'd think, for example, that Orbi (one of the two brands Apple actually sells in their stores) would support it, but last time I was at my friend's house, I could not see how to activate any sort of HomeKit support/handshake on her (current-model) Orbi system...

Maybe the servers are being taxed by most people downloading 13.2 now? Give it some time as Im sure random devices are being affected

I can't even wrap my head around this statement enough to respond coherently.

Their literal primary goal, as a business, is to grab money.

Of course, the primary goal of every business is to make money. But holding back features like this that can clearly run on pretty much all existing hardware just makes Apple look petty. It took a developer time to add the code that prevents this feature from working on pre-iPhone 11 phones. That's why it's so damn ridiculous.

The issues are with Exchange. This affects the majority of business e-mail. Not only does Microsoft use the protocol, but Google G Suite and even Amazon's hosted e-mail uses it.

It takes forever for new mail to show up even when I have the mail app open. It takes forever for read or deleted mail to show up even when the mail app is open. Etc, etc.

FYI I'm also having an Apple Music issue -- I'm on a chat session with Apple support right now, so if they can't figure it out at the very least they will be more aware of the problem.

The majority of developer time is never spent on writing code for a feature, but testing it. The costs for this feature would be testing it on previous devices, like making sure the hit region was large enough, that it couldn't be activated by palms, ensuring that there were no bugs in the specific encoding hardware on each model that were triggered while switching capture config with a live viewfinder, etc.

If Apple is serious they make this to opt in instead of opt out.

It's non-defaulted. A screen pops up and forces you to choose an option before you can use the phone. This was actually covered in previous articles on the beta, so a dramatic bold statement assuming Apple did the wrong thing is totally unnecessary.
