Yes, Pegasus is a very effective program that affects many iOS devices. I'd imagine Apple is working on a fix for it.

I thought Apple was done with 14.7 at this point.

14.7 came buggy: unlocking apple watch with iphone works intermittently and unlocking the iphone using AW stopped working on touch id devices.

Wow. Connected to car’s WiFi and it won’t download because it says I’m not connected. I turn off WiFi and it says I can download and install.

iPad Pro having no issues downloading from car WiFi.

There's definitely some other changes in there considering they also released an update to iPadOS which has no connection to the Apple Watch.

iOS 12.5 is old but that didn't stop them from releasing 12.5.3 update on May 3, 2021 and 12.5.4 update on June 14, 2021

iPhone 12 Pro Max wasn't showing it. iPad Pro (2020) was.

Started it on the iPad, checked the iPhone and now its available on the phone now.

I don’t even get why the “unlock iphone with apple watch” feature was implemented on touch id iphones in the first place. It wasn’t necessary to have it on those devices. It was only necessary on face id iphones because the user’s face isn’t recognized while wearing a mask. No problem unlocking touch id iphones while wearing a mask.

This wasn't created specifically because of the masks. This also benefits users that use gloves and Touch ID. This would have been welcomed back in the day when I had a Touch ID iPhone and wore gloves in the winter. (Gloves had capacitive touch.)

If you go into apple developer page you can see the releases al ready for download there is even a macOS 11.5.1 set for today
