So this lower latency apple pencil is only for apple pencil 2? I have ipad pro 10,5 with pencil 1. Is it also improved for me?

My 2017 iPad Pro just finished updating to the new iPad OS and is asking me update AppleID and settings continually. “Some account services will not be available until you sign in again”.

I’ve signed in a dozen times. Each time the notification goes away and then come right back. Restarted iPad several times, logged out, logged back in, nothing. 🤦🏼‍♂️
My ATV had the same issue. The second time it asked I went in to it like i was going to authorize again with my iphone but then backed out. once i did that it stuck.

Works fine on our iPad Air 2. I don't use it too often, so when I tried opening and managing multiple windows I was amazed by how unintuitive that really is. Do like the extra apps on the homescreen, it reduces the overall layout to three screens; most-used, used often and games.

I keep getting: unable to install update, an error occurred installing iPadOS 13.1. Retry or remind later. Not sure what the issue is.
Might be worthwhile trying to update using iTunes instead, if you have access to a computer.

It's showing like 12 hrs to download, then it goes to 15 hrs and now it says 1 day.... my connection is fast but for some reason it is dragging like crazy...

EDIT: Now it seems like it got stuck and it is just showing "Estimating time remaining..."
Not sure what is going on... maybe server too busy?
Try force-restarting your device. Or restarting your router, perhaps.

Has anyone got an issue after updating iPad os when dragging down the display centre you can’t rid of it unless you press the home button? iPad Air 2. Where before you tap any where it will disappear
Working normally on my iPad Air 2. Restarting or force restarting the iPad might sort it.

QuickPath (swipe-typing) isn’t working on my 2016 iPad Pro 9.7. I see the setting is enabled but it won’t work; key flicks happen instead. Tried a reboot. No luck. Turned off key flicks in case there was a bug not allowing both key flicks and QuickPath. Still no QuickPath.
It seems to only work with the reduced size keyboard (pinch to shrink!).

I am now informed that QuickPath works only on the “small floating keyboard,” not the full-size iPad keyboard. Didn’t know — and don’t understand that decision on Apple’s part, but It Is What It Is.
I believe the idea is that the mini keyboard is designed for one-digit typing, as is the swiping. So, I suppose it makes some sense. But, I suspect that, if enough people complain, it might get changed in a future update!

I love the iPad, its the best at doing very specific things, but no matter how much Tim Apple try to convince me, its not a PC replacement.

Doesn't matter how much twists and features they add to iOS to make it on par with a Windows/MacOS/Linux, iOS was not built as PC replacement. This needs a new OS.

Is there a tutorial for all of this new stuff? I can't find one.
Find the Tips app on the iPad then click the bottom left guide "What's New..."

And there's also this handy guide, https://www.macrumors.com/2019/09/25/apple-posts-new-ipados-how-to-videos/.

Mine said 45 min to begin with, then went down to 23. All in all it took 6 minutes to download. I‘m on preparing to install right now
Progress timing has never been even remotely close to accurate. I don’t know why they even bother providing a time. My download and upgrade took about five minutes.

Honestly it's great that Apple finally focused on iPad features, but this is something that should have been implemented 5 years ago at the least. I mean the iPad is just now getting rudimentary tablet features that all other tablets have had for 7 years now... They couldn't even put in fully baked mouse support. This should have been something done a long time ago just as Apple should be in the front of touch screen PC's and devices since you know since they were the ones who actually made it mainstream.

This right here.

Latency will improve with the original Apple Pencil, but not all the way down to 9ms. You need a model with the 120mHz refresh rate to get that low.

Why am I the first poster to comment what a disaster the new look and interface of the mail app mail is?

For those who updated to iPAD OS, with the widget on the home screen, how do you make it stay and not disappear..I already updated my Mom's iPad but for some reason when I bring up the widget by swiping to the right the app icons become blurry so I know Im doing something wrong

in regards to the Mail app..

I upgraded last night...went into mail this morning and searched a specific inbox for tickets To a show I had purchases probably 2-3 weeks ago.

Searching the name of the band gave me results from only as recent as 2013 - nothing newer than that.

Could it possibly still just be ”indexing” all of my Mail for search?

Or is this a bug?

🤔

I tried to connect usb c pen drive in IPad Pro. It’s not detecting. I even tried to format in fat. Still not detecting. But perfectly working in my laptop. Anyone can advise ? Thanks.

Still can't seem to download the update via iTunes and my iPad Air 2 doesn't have enough storage for OTA.

Not really that upset though considering how buggy everyone claims iOS/iPadOS 13 still is. 🤷‍♂️

The widget only lock onto the home page when in landscape mode. Are you mainly in portrait?

Because it's not?
Sure. Because making the keyboard launch take up more real estate so you cant even see what you are replying to AND a splash screen and more taps to send what you cant even see is always good interface design.
