Am I the only one who has had the prompt for the iPhone's 3.0.1 update? I can't find the news anywhere.

Good idea - skip an update that patches an exploit that was recently released on the internet.

I think this is just purely a simple fix for the SMS. They may not have added, block jailbreak or anything like that in this firmware update.

This is how serious the SMS exploit is that Apple actually has to release an unexpected firmware update immediately.

Apple needs to figure out how to implement a diff update for iPhone OS. I mean a 300MB for a simple bug? They could just release a 512kb update file just to fix the bug. I am curious why they aren't doing a binary diff update for minor software updates like this one.

What about people with 3.1 installed? Is there a 3.1.1 beta available for us?

I thought you were at 2.2.1? I'm sorry if I'm mistaken.

Why would it be 3.1.1, they'll just release beta 4 of it sometime early next week. It would be hard to find a 3.1 phone with SMS issue if all 3.0 phones have this fixed. The exploit would be nearly worthless.
