Apple Releases iPhoto 9.1.1 With New Email Options

well done congratulations.
obviously you dont know how to use iPhoto properly then...the amount of functionality thats been removed is frightening...
still no fix for the Keywords
The still did not fix the keywords issue where the toggle under the View menu does not toggle the Keywords under the photos on and off as it does for the titles and ratings. The loss of visible keywords is quite troublesome to many users as evident in the Apple discussion boards.

Metadata?
OK, Pet Peeve time:
Previous versions of iPhoto did not preserve metadata when emailing photos. So any meta info you laboriously added to your photos was scrubbed. Personally I find this a Big Deal.
The Metadata Working Group, of which Apple is a member, has just published its updated guidelines for consumer image metadata handling. It contains this statement: "User-added metadata may not be removed without specific user intent."
The question is, will Apple play by the rules of its own group?

Places
Is it still next to impossible to add a new entry for "Places" in iPhoto. It seemed like that functionality was totally missing when I tried updating to this 2 months ago.
Thankfully, I had a recent backuo and went back to the previous iPhoto.

Fullscreen Mode with Mac Play/Pause Key
Have seen your question and tried to find the full screen modus in 9.1.1. and found something similar with the iMac Play/Pause key (F8).
If you are inside an event, just press the Play/Pause key and the slideshow will start. Press the key again and the slide show stops. (Normally I am controlling iTunes with this key).
If the sound disturbs you, press the iMac key F10 (silent).
Now you can go to next picture with left/right arrow keys or with previous/next keys (F7/F9).

PS: The compare modus is working for me as described in the other posts

My Christmas wish is that Mr Jobs' minions actually bother to read the forums that run on THEIR site to find out what is actually going on out there in the real world....Bah humbug...and Merry Christmas

Cant attach a file or mp3 to these Emails!!
I was horrified when i tried to send a pic via the new iphoto email and it didnt launch my mac mail. i wanted to attach an mp3 file along with the pic and i cannot.
i couldnt even copy and paste the pics.
this is a disgrace, i have many more major complaints about the new iphoto that i bought over the weekend to help complete a project and instead it destroyed it.
very very dissapointed with apple, whom i had respect for.
my other posts will include "no Slideshows on apple tv?" and the fact that slide shows didnt save the music or settings and they are so annoying to setup.
please look for my posts, and how do we get apple to read these and do something about it?

so have you tried to make a slide show? save its settings? then try to watch that on apple tv? cant be done!
how about mailing a pic then attatching another file or mp3 to the email? cant be done!
and full screen mode is no longer full screen mode, theres bars there all teh time, they use to drop away. so another destroyed feature.
and the biggest new mess up is that you can no longer sort pictures manually in events.
this new version is way way worse than the previous.
Thats another of those small features that I am waiting to be put back in.
I get the sense that someone almost rebuilt the program from the ground up*, but only looked at the officially released help docs. Almost as if all of these small (needed) "convenience" features were totally missed.
*This reminds me of what happened to iMovie a few years back. It's only now, 3 revs later, that iMovie is getting back some features (SOME) that were lost (that were previously in iMovie HD).
Are you telling me that, instead of launching Mail and sending it properly, it still does this trick where iPhoto actually logs into your email account and "sends" the email?
If so, that is ridiculous. How about the fact that I want all of my "sent" email to stay in my "sent" items folder!
My God, I'll bet this is all from the same SW genius that destroyed iMovie for several years.

yes, it doesnt launch mail, it now opens a window in iphoto. i loved the old way. the send pic via mail is now also an extra button step away, and i cant seem to be able to customize the buttons either.
