I am so resisting the temptation to download this update. I used to blindly hit the update button but I'm getting tired of the little minor issues...
I had the same problem. Re-downloaded from apple.com and it's fine now.
It is nice to see that they are fixing "bugs", but why don't they fix glaring, major problems? I CONSTANTLY get the "Do you want to all the iTunes app to accept incoming connections" prompt.
Confirmed, itunes will not start up. Even after a system reboot.
itunes won't start, keeps crashing!
Interesting that they can release stupid little big fixes like this and yet they can't fix the 5.1 surround sound bug that has never been addressed. Frustrating!!![]()
This is the first time I've ever had a problem with updates, but now, after the update, iTunes refuses to open and I get error messages telling me to 'check with the developer', and, 'you may need to reinstall the app' - which I'm trying to do now!.. Thank goodness I have a back-up of my library!

Yep, the new tagline is:Has Apple officially retired the "it just works" tagline?

I will try it (of course) and see, but frankly after having this issue so repeatedly on different machines, different versions of the OS (nuke and pave install) and iTunes, I am sure it will be back. Something fundamentally wrong.I had this problem after 10.1.......just installed 10.1.1 and iTunes seems to be OK. I've quit and launched iTunes 10 times now with no repeat of the bug.
When are they going to get iTunes to automatically switch bit rate and format as per Audirvana player for the Mac? I now am growing 24bit /96K music downloads - and it's a pain to have to go into 'Audio Mini setup' to change the settings.
