Turns out I have a Java for Mac update, and an HP Printer Driver update as well! I love updates, it means everything should be working right.

On the other hand, I just got a friend's Windows laptop to fix, he's been complaining about virus popups and stuff. The damn thing won't even check for updates, it keeps telling me there's an error.. :apple:

Anyone having an issue with their iPhone not appearing in iTunes after the update? I am, it's registering in iPhoto, but not iTunes.

Edit - Never mind, a quick restart of iTunes resolved that.

Download points to 10.2 - Update through Software Update

I downloaded this from Apple's website and it's the older 10.2 from a few days ago. Installed though Software Update correctly.

I was hoping 10.2.1 would fix what 10.2 appeared to break: the ability to use iTunes artwork as a screen saver. It worked fine up until 10.2, and now the screen saver reports "your itunes library does not contain any songs with artwork" which is BS, since iTunes itself sees the artwork just fine, as do I within the finder.

I repaired permissions -- that didn't fix it.

I tried it - still works for me.

Hey, Colours are Back!
Apple does learn (and maybe listen). At least in the iTunes preferences, the colours are back. Though, going through my older versions it seems 10.2 already brought them back.

Bloat? At 75.6 MB?

In addition to an existing 100MB+...for a media player. Also as many have mentioned not everyone has unlimited internet. iOS 4.3 which is 650MB+ is also on its way in a matter of hours.

If people do not have unlimited Internet then do not download it then, it is that easy.... Complaining and giving negative to the update is not going to change their Internet..

this is nothing what about all the os x developers that download full beta OS as they are released.

Really?

...or maybe Apple could've just done a better job by combining 10.2/10.2.1 into one update.

You, you, procrastinator ! :apple:

Haha. Yup. Just couldn't be bothered really. Imho iTunes is a terrible piece of software and the store is even more appalling. They talk of the halo effect of the iphone, well my guess is that itunes does the opposite.

Is it just me or is the Apple Remote APP now broken. I can't connect to my Itunes library after the update using my IPHONE 4 and the Apple remote App. It connects to my Apple TV without issue. Am I alone here with this problem.

Really. It does not matter if apple combined them or not, you are still using up the same amount of bandwidth either way..

The point being that you would only have to download once if they had waited to release all of the updates in one package instead of 2 separate updates / downloads.

An explanation of WHY would be nice. CNET just notified me of iTunes 10.2 on March 4.

That's an easy answer... They can brag about how many copies of iTunes have been downloaded. Since each download is a full install and not a patch, they can claim that there were so many millions downloaded. And, even more millions downloaded again this week. Never mind that they were the same users.

Betting all that changed is the version number ;-) Yes, being sarcastic...

what isp's don't offer unlimited bandwith?

Every ISP in my area.... Oh, wait, there is one that will offer unlimited... But, they want $200 a month for that. So, yeah... Probably be more cost effective to save my $200 a month and just put it aside and buy a newer machine every so many months with the updates to that point already installed.

Then, I could sell my old machine for a little bit... Sounds more cost effective ;-)
