Apple Releases iTunes 10.5 Ahead of iOS and iCloud Launch

I know that Match is a US only service currently...I think.

Yeah, I am in the U.S.

It makes sense that 10.7.2 would be required now that I think about it. You'd need to setup your iCloud account prior to Match.

Is it just me, or is Match not available in this release? I don't see it in any of the options menus or iTunes Store?

iTunes Match will be released at the end of October as they said last Tuesday.

I dont understand, I click the link in the first post and it sends me to a download of 10.4

If you click to go to the download page it actually is 10.5.

Can't wait to get home and use the wifi sync! My dock port has been acting funny and haven't been able to sync to my MBP for the last week or so

Just in time too so I can sync and restore possibly for when the 4s arrives.

You know that you need iOS 5 + iTunes 10.5 for wireless sync, and will need your USB cable for installation of iOS 5, right?

i wonder how itunes match will work as far as the user creating files, naming them songs, and using them to get the actual songs from the itunes store under the blanket of the match service.

My experience with the beta was that you have to plug it in and check the "sync this iPhone via wifi" box in iTunes before you get that functionality.

Yes. On the Devices tab in Preferences you can disable automatic syncing, etc.

Wi-Fi syncing is off by default.

I just updated mine to 10.5. The download finished within 5 minutes and it installed fine. Im still waiting for itunes match though which comes in a couple weeks.

On 10.5 beta, Software Update shows nothing, Check for Updates in iTunes shows nothing, and http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ won't load.
