Wow, iTunes is supersmooth now, especially in album view. I also love the new Playlist view, without the stupid columns.

this seems new..... is it?

Click cancel, then update again, and keep doing this until it gets to 100%. This is how I did it successfully - took three attempts to get to 100%.
Same here. It went fast until it was stuck at 70.5 MB. Restarted the mac app store and it finished up in 15 seconds.

Hmm. Started a Family free trial. Went to set up Family Sharing. Remembered I have a different Apple ID for the Store (from back when it was called the iTunes Music Store) vs. the rest of my iCloud services.

No idea what to do now...

Not sure what happened, but now I have thousands of duplicates!

Someone help me please.

The icon has changed since WWDC. This is what they showed for El Cap:

That version is much better, like some of us on MacRumors had been saying. I still don't like how it looks on OS X as much as the old red one though, especially when placed next to the other icons on the default dock.

Here's the large icon:

I just updated to 12.2 and signed up for my Apple Music trial, and iTunes proceeded to completely trash all of my playlists. The song counts all appear to be what they should be, but the song selections are random.

I wonder if it is some remnant of iTunes Match, which I used for a month about 3 years ago before bailing on.

This is just ... wow.

not going to waste a CD to test it till the end, but it looks like it's possible to burn an Audio CD with Music from the Apple Music Service... an oversight?

I don't think there is any oversight concerning keeping offline music forever :D

I'll try though, as well as adding music to an iPod nano, let's see...

Anyone else having difficulty with app store for mac not loading and becoming unresponsive?
Also, It will show that the update is available to download and install but it gets stuck when it tries to check for more updates or tries to download the update. Looks like I'll be waiting a little while before i can update iTunes b/c restarting and repairing the permissions has not helped.

I really don't like how the album artwork is now bigger, but I like how more responsive it is when you resize the window. iTunes Activity isn't shared by the same space as your Now Playing bar either (noticed that when updating Genius).

Your "Loved" tracks are now included in Smart Playlists too. I like that, might ditch my star ratings for it instead.

In the Playlists 'tab' (My Music - Playlists - For You - New - Radio - Connect - iTunes Store) there is a new category called 'Apple Music Playlists'. I managed to place one of the curated playlists there but I have no idea what of my frantic 'Add to my Music' in various places of the new UI achieved that. Does anybody know how to save a curated playlist (or any playlist offered by Apple Music) to that place?

Edit: Figured it out, when you 'open' the playlist, in the playlist 'title bar', there are three symbols, a plus, a heart, and the 'export' symbol. The plus symbol adds that playlist to your playlist. Once the playlist is added, the symbol turns into the download symbol.

Yeah same here, I can't even do the 10.10.4 update, the App Store doesn't load anything.

Yup, keeps hanging for me. I've tried a new user account on my Mac, cleared caches etc but no luck. Guess I'll wait.

Yep, it's just crashing all the time. Personally, the Mac App Store has always been a pathetic and slow app. I like the idea, but it needs a big update lol.
