rendezvouscp said:That was the first thing I saw, since the last time I had iTunes open it was miniaturized. That definitely didn't kick this whole thing off to a good start.
lopresmb said:I like the new look, it feel much cleaner and more spacious...also, I am sure that people noticed that there is support all over the place for video, although I am not assuming that this had anything to do with video iPod (yet), but I guess more to do with the music video support.
wordmunger said:Just tried the crossfade set to zero trick with iTunes 5, and it doesn't work. There's still a gap -- perhaps only a quarter-second or so, but definitely audible. This doesn't particularly bother me, but for those of you who do care, you can continue to be annoyed.

appletastic said:Yeah it is pretty obvious that video will be fully integrated with 5.. not really sure how it will work.. considering itunes doesnt deal with photos... why would it deal with videos.. seems a little disjointed? Perhaps they need an all new ipod app which will take your photos from iphoto, music from itunes and movies from imovie and put them all on your ipod...
aegisdesign said:iTunes 4.9 did video the same way as 5. I've not noticed any difference anyway. The smart playlist I had listing all my videos stored in iTunes still works in 5.0. It still lists the same way, the resize icon is still the same.
It's not fat.loco_macg6 said:just for curiosity ...does anybody knows if this new iTunes has Universal Binarys....maybe it could runon PPC/X86 plataform...![]()
aegisdesign said:Did you try resizing the miniplayer window - it jumps between full out with the display onscreen and in with it not showing. No inbetween. The grab handle is therefore no longer under the mouse pointer.
I can't remember if iTunes4 did that also but it's horrible.

See the sidebox.

I've looked around the iTunes package and I couldn't find any files for Interface Builds (.nibs I believe). Anyone had any clue where they're storing this information?

Totally, while Dashboard and Spotlight are really nice, Tiger was so underwhelming. Hopefully 10.5 will be complete when it is released. Also the gui in Tiger between Apple apps does not match. They updated Mail and now iTunes, but why not Safari and the Finder Windows. I've never liked the brushed metal anyway.hob said:Also, I was thinking how maybe, just maybe, they should've delayed Tiger until... Late September?
appletastic said:I never knew you could do that!! How do you add a video? Just drag it in?
loco_macg6 said:it seems that iTunes 5 could play Ogg files .... but actually it doesnt.
You could find that on iTunes.app/Contents/Resources/iTunes-ogg.icns
