Nothing new here. iPhone settings all still work the same, iPod settings work the same. Still no ability to manually manage files on the iPhone.

Perhaps this is to enhance the stability on the hardware to be introduced next Tuesday.... Like a new iPod perhaps? Or a rev'd Apple Hi-Fi? Yeah, I know, the announcement is Mac related... :D

You said it yourself, nothing new iPod related coming next Tuesday... I wouldn't expect anything iPod related any earlier than September.

A bit boring, but it's always nice to get the notice so I can download the latest update when I get home. For some reason downloading updates is really satisfying, even when there are no visible improvements. Go figure.

Now, I'm off to find a thread about what the small August 7th meeting might be all about.

Quick! Somebody check the resources file and see if there are any interesting strings in there!

I expect to see:
"iPhone 2 64GB for just $249 unlocked"
"Awesome new iMac 30" Quad-core 3.16Ghz and brushed metal and multi-touch"
"Ultraportable Macbook Pro 12" Tablet"
"iPod v6 - the iPhone without the phone part"

:)

Improve the windows updater

Apple should also consider to upgrade there windows upgrader... that this is buggy as **.

1. It's always downloading AGAIN and AGAIN if something doesn't work (good for the datatraffic I guess :p).
2. And always download EVERYTHING (QT, QT+IT, Safari even when you only installed safari).
- And how about that I always have to download WHOLE itunes... instead of just the changed files (the whole 30MB, every little update).
3. If connection is lost, you can hit CANCEL... but that will just do nothing but saying 'cancelling....' (for some 5 hours)

No I just checked - none of that there. Just something about a "G5 Powerbook".

Ah, another update for me to install when I get home, excellent. ;)

I don't think we'll be seeing another iTunes update until the new iPods are released in a couple months. But first things first - new iMacs next Tuesday! :D

About time!

But seriously, if none of that is in there then I am highly disappointed with this update and I will be selling all my mac stuff and building my own computer which is way better than Apple and will only cost me $200 including the 34" LCD and a fax/modem. And also, I am going to get a Zune.

No not a Zune. Really?

For some twisted reason I also enjoy installing updates. Makes me feel a fresh again! Like a second shower...

I am still waiting for something new for iPhone. I know it probably won't happen til October, but every time I see an update I get excited and hope for the best.

No it's not. These itunes updates piss me off. The less I need to mess with quicktime settings the better.

I was not aware of any major issues with iTunes that would warrant an update just for that. Could someone please inform me on this matter.

One more down!

I'm hoping Apple races through iTunes 7.3.2 - 7.3.9 so we can get to 7.4 already!

Ack!

The only change for me is that UNO will no longer work. Yay.

Crap! I'm glad you mentioned that. Me love my UNO. Apple no take way my UNO!
Seriously, if there are no visible enhancements with this update, I'll hold off on installing until I know an UNO update will work with it.

I also enjoy installing updates for reasons that I can't quite put a finger on, but not if it breaks other things. I don't enjoy it THAT much.
