Apple should also consider to upgrade there windows upgrader... that this is buggy as **.

1. It's always downloading AGAIN and AGAIN if something doesn't work (good for the datatraffic I guess :p).
2. And always download EVERYTHING (QT, QT+IT, Safari even when you only installed safari).
- And how about that I always have to download WHOLE itunes... instead of just the changed files (the whole 30MB, every little update).
3. If connection is lost, you can hit CANCEL... but that will just do nothing but saying 'cancelling....' (for some 5 hours)

Here's how to correct the problem, get a Mac! :D

That does sound pretty bad, I think Apple needs to improve the Windows side of things. Though I don't see why the connection would get lost I never have any problems, sounds like your ISP/Router is dodgy.

Inefficient, annoying, say what you like, but 1 and 2 are NOT bugs.

It fixes a problem I've been having with the iTunes store for a few months.

Prior to the update many images would show as broken links on first visiting the store. Pressing the home icon would reload the main page and display most of the broken images, but a second press of home would be needed to show everything.

I'm not sure what the problem really was; perhaps an issue with my ISP's transparent proxy server?

logged out and back in and UNO is still working for me after the update (PPC)

Sorry, I meant that it will no longer install without "tweaking" some files to trick it into thinking you still have iTunes 7.3.1.

There has to be a better way for Interacto to write that part of their program - this is the second problem I've had with UNO not working with an update simply because of the way UNO determines compatibility.

I hope this fix, fixes what appears to be a memory hole, I cannot believe iTunes takes up 700 megs of RAM. I have 2 GB on this laptop and it doesn't seem enough once I'm using iTunes and Photoshop, crazy.

I use Windows, I press CTRL ALT DELETE. Looks up iTunes. 55k KB of ram. Hmm, thats 55 MB. And I have 2562 song on it all 256kbps and up, all AAC, all very high detailed album art. Go figure.

About time!

But seriously, if none of that is in there then I am highly disappointed with this update and I will be selling all my mac stuff and building my own computer which is way better than Apple and will only cost me $200 including the 34" LCD and a fax/modem. And also, I am going to get a Zune.

You should try out the new nano zune. There's a little micro holographic image of Steve Balmer licking his chops and saying, NO, No, Not again! :D

Ur just that a noob that uses his computer wrong. I use Windows, I press CTRL ALT DELETE. Looks up iTunes. 55k KB of ram. Hmm, thats 55 MB. And I have 2562 song on it all 256kbps and up, all AAC, all very high detailed album art. Go figure.

Is the personal attack necessary? He didn't write a memory leak into the program. It's not like it's easy to increase a program's memory usage by 1270% doing normal tasks!

thats 2 boring software updates this week... wheres the custom ringtones tab?!?! well better then nothing i guess...

i think I speak for the entire non - USA / Non iPhone world...when I say

so what.

We are not able to get an iPhone.

This update is most likely 99% iPhone related..

so we don't care.

*runs off to download anyway and pretend i actually have an iPhone and am not as bitter as I really am*

Maybe this'll fix the bug where iTunes just randomly quit on me. First time in 2+ years of using a mac that that's ever happened..

This update is rather annoying too though, as I just updated yesterday:eek:
