It doesn't?!? Why does it look like DOS upon start up? WTF is this "run" option in the start menu?

The "run" option simply let's you run DOS inside Windows. Even Mac OS Classic was/is just running inside OS X. If you start OS X in single user mode (cmd-S during start-up), it also "looks like DOS".

Believe me, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME all ran on top of DOS. Windows NT was developed alongside the latest of these DOS-based version. Even today, if you start up Windows 2000, it will say something like 'Based on NT Technology'. Going to the NT kernel and leaving DOS behind was a big step for Microsoft.

The Patch is HORRIFIC!!

Thank you Apple for forcing me to take the upgrade last night. Now when I opened up iTunes today, it not only "unrecognized" my iPod, half of my songs are not found because iTUNES WON'T LOOK AT THE LIBRARY THE PREFERENCE IS POINTED TO! It is assuming the library is in Documents/Music on my C Drive. But my official Documents file is on my H drive, always has been as is my iTunes library. Why it knows half are there and can't find the other half, who knows.

So where do I send my bill for helping the iTunes that Apple screwed up "find" the 3000 items it can't locate? Or will Apple fix this ASAP? (Not holding my breath)

Seems like a bunch of people have been hit with a screwed up update to iTunes as I have looked on Apple's site, but Apple is of course silent on the issue. Apple needs to do some basic QC before releasing stuff as well as being forward about their patches.

Trying to hide their inadequate programming is pathetic and has screwed up my music library. Thanks for nuttin' Jobs.
