Ugh still not fixed! I can't even figure out the logic by which it is ordering my smart playlists. Surely there are enough Apple employee's using iphones and smart playlists to notice this problem, right!??!?

What else can one do other than posting through all those feedback links?

They clearly just need to spend less time doctoring ipad with flash photos and get to work on this ::end sarcastic rant::

I'm sure they're rebuilding iTunes from the ground up and will implement a fully 64-bit version for both OS X and Windows in the next major release (where Quicktime X will be released for Windows as well). But this won't happen in a point release. It's just bug fixes for now.

I'd love to see desktop iTunes take some visual cues from the iPad iTunes - it looks stunning.

Nice Shiny 32-bit code on my 64-bit OS :-(

Come on Apple, update the code for speed, iTunes is a bit of a slouch...

Blu-Ray support is WAY overdue as well. Give the consumers a choice already.

Yeah, umm, anyone know what this means?

I downloaded the update & now my music, videos & apps have all been copied. I'm showing 2 of almost everything & also many things that were deleted long ago.

Anybody have a clue what caused this to happen?

What would be the best way to correct this issue besides going through & deleting each duplicate individually, or using the "show duplicates" feature?

Smart Playlist for Music work around

Yeah, my Top 25 Most Played playlist on my iPhone is still just a jumble of random songs. I really hoped this update would fix it. We've been waiting so long!

I ran into this work around when the smart playlist sorting was annoying if you add a rule "Playlist" "is" "Music" and your smart playlist will once again sort correctly not sure if you set it to podcast is that will work too but worth a try

Still messed up Smartplaylist

I can confirm - smart playlists on my iPhone are still a complete cluster. I guess the notes really do mean it's only fixed for SOME smart playlists, i.e. not mine.

Not sure what Apple meant when they say 'fixed'
All my Smart Playlist sync with song in random order... not impressed.

anyone notice that old ctrl + cmd + z bug is back?

control + command + z should switch between the mini player and the full itunes window, but now, just as it did when 9.0 came out, that command simply zooms the itunes window between full and regular sizes on screen, not between your regular iTunes window and the mini-player. anyone else running into this?

It certainly seems faster, doesn't hang as much when loading album art in grid view. This may be all psychological tho.

I've got a problem. Since the upgrade my copy of iTunes appears to have de-authorised itself with the store, preventing me from playing any content with DRM.

If I try to re-authorise I get Unknown Error -42408, which blocks the authorisation.

There's reports on Apple's messageboard of other users with the same problem.

Thank goodness they fixed the Store won't remember my password bug. Since my password is "honorificabilitudinitatibus" I was getting very tired typing it all the time!

Now that's a robust password! LOL

EDIT: My update went without a hitch. I didn't have any Smart Playlist problems before. However, I did have the occasional "connection detection" problem. I'll see soon enough whether that's fixed...

Is the version for win64 a 64 bit version or just a 32 bit version that is 64 bit compatible (which is what they did in the past for win64)?

they're not gonna switch to 64 bits in an X.0.3 release.

Not only would they, but they did exactly that with Logic 9.0.3 (except they bumped the number to 9.1).

It's sad that iTunes is still only 32 bit, probably one of the consumer apps that could benefit from it the most.

Until Apple stop using carbon for iTunes, which will require hefty rewrite to use cocoa, there is no way they can make it 64 bit. There will be other things stopping it going 64 bit too.

So they need to get off their collective ass and do it. It's not like they haven't had years to work on it already.

I think you're right. I just tested it on 9.0.2 and it was working, did the upgrade to 9.0.3 and now the bug is back. Super annoying...

I just filed a bug report on the mini-player issues so hopefully they fix that in the next point release.
