Yeah wtf is up with that ****? I thought it was just me. Thank god it isn't just me who is getting that firewall issue.

Why is this >100MB. Seriously, Apple really needs to take a leaf from Microsoft's book and implement an updating system that only updates the actual components that have changed rather than the whole application.
(I know this may not be a big deal to most people, but it is to me as my uni only allows 1GB/day - completely cutting off if you go over the limit - it really helps to save every last byte that comes through my system, especially when I go through a lot of required webpages for API documentation and the like)
Can't see in the release notes - any 4.0ers able to see if this version of iTunes respects folder structures?

Yes it does! Pretty happy about that... Still refuses to perform a backup, at least with Beta 1... And then there is this "File Sharing" thing, not sure exactly what it does... Can't find anything in the help system either...
For everyone saying I hope this fixes..., especially for the older issues that haven't been resolved over multiple update cycles...
Have you reported the issue to Apple?

You can't expect them to know about every little bug. Some can be isolated. I haven't experience any of the playlist bugs, for example. The only way they can fix it is if they know about it. The more people who report it, the more likely and sooner it will be looked at.
Trying it now. It's gonna take a long time to delete.I've learnt this trick which did for me: trash the iTunes app from Aplications folder, download the iTunes from Apple website, and install it again.![]()
I know myself (and many others) have tried the feedback route multiple times. The smart playlist thing doesn't really fall into "every little bug" since it's a huge functionality issue. It's not like smart playlists are an obscure entity, since "recently added" and "top 25" are there by default etc. Like I said this has been around since 3.0 and it's usually the first question asked (other than "will this ruin jailbreak) when itunes is updated.

EDIT: YAY it worked!!!
No, it's not only you. I'm having the same issue with my iPhone3G... :/[...] is it only me or has anyone a bug that comes when your ipod finishes syncing and says that it is safe to remove but the little wheel that turns when syncing keeps turning and turning and if you want to eject the ipod it says it is still syncing....![]()

Try Adobe CS4 Master Collection 7.5 gb's![]()
I used to have a similar problem when this feature was only available for iPod shuffles. Some of my purchased songs always got deleted and resynced after a lengthy 128kbps conversion. It was very annoying. Now, I am afraid to update iTunes. I'd rather live without lyrics than hit this bug again. I'll wait to see if this is a widespread bug.Well, now that the lyrics work with the 128 kbps on-the-fly conversion, I'm having a different more significant problem. Everytime I sync my iPhone, it deletes everything and resyncs. I have 25 GB of music and it literally takes 12 HOURS to resync everything (while converting to 128 kbps). Obviously unacceptable!
