Or at least automatic FLAC to ALAC conversion when you drag and drop FLAC files into iTunes.Would it have hurt them to throw in FLAC support while they were poking around in there?
“It's like giving a glass of ice water to somebody in hell,”that poor engineer that had to open the old code base to add a few lines of code.
I was just thinking that Apple could've supported PowerPC systems for longer. It's brutal if you bought an iBook in 2005 you only got one OS upgrade from Tiger to Leopard. Apple is supporting Intel MacBooks longer than they supported PowerPC laptops.Hopefully we will hear about the PowerBook G5 next! 😁
Norton is trash tbh. Windows Defender and an occasional scan with Malwarebytes is more than enough for 99% of users as long as you aren’t doing anything too stupid.I tried to download the update via the Microsoft store and Norton is detecting a threat in the file. So I have no idea if this is safe to install or not.

Didn't Apple put out a "Devices" app for iPod/iPhone/iPad device management, alongside a TV app for Apple TV+? I thought iTunes for Windows was just for Podcasts now...
It's weird when Apple gives you choices. That's very un-Apple.
iTunes for Mac was trash, but iTunes for Windows is the whole damn landfill. To be fair, iTunes was trash on Mac too.
I don't know why but I envision a flurry of bats flying out of the screen when the iTunes source code was opened.that poor engineer that had to open the old code base to add a few lines of code.
It's been 3 and a half years since the first Apple Silicon Macs came out. Snow leopard was released about 3 and a half years after the first Intel Macs were released; three years after the last PowerPC models were discontinued. Apple just didn't release OS updates as frequently back then (and they were paid updates).I was just thinking that Apple could've supported PowerPC systems for longer. I think Snow Leopard should have made it to PowerPC tbh.
all this means is this executable's hash is 'new' to norton so it is being flagged suspicious.I tried to download the update via the Microsoft store and Norton is detecting a threat in the file. So I have no idea if this is safe to install or not.

yes all the normies streamProbably in the minority here but I still use iTunes for Windows to mange the music on my iPhone and iPad. Tried "upgrading" to the three new apps (Apple Music, Devices, and TV) but they are worse, slow and buggy (yes, worse than iTunes). And you can't convert a purchased iTunes store song to MP3 like you can with iTunes. Is everyone streaming now or how does everyone manage their music on their devices?
No, i use documents for that. So i can use iPhones with my MP3s as i want to, like any other playback device.(...) Is everyone streaming now or how does everyone manage their music on their devices?
Yup. Using it every day as my regular music server. Very happy with it.Wait, iTunes for Windows is still a thing???
ITunes can get laggy, espec. If you try to move between library and its store. But for daily playback use, it is still terrific.ngl I envy Windows users who get to still use iTunes. the Apple Music app on macOS is still trash
My music library is resident on my iTunes, carefully curated and organized. Still loving it. Also still sometimes moving music onto an ipod classic for portability.Probably in the minority here but I still use iTunes for Windows to mange the music on my iPhone and iPad.
